What character sheets are you all using?

Just played this game last night for the FIRST time since I backed the Kickstarter, lol! It was a lot of fun, and we just played a casual game. Everyone really enjoyed making the characters and enclave. We played for about 2 hour afterwards, just to try it out. I found that that rules are really, really open ended for when you want to do things. It's easiest to tell players to just "roleplay", and tell a story, rather than figure out what "Move" they are going to do, as it make the game play a little smoother. After a bit of storytelling, both the GM and player can decide what Move that should be. I did find the rules a bit confusing in several areas, when it describes "on a hit". On the Move rules they are reading out, it is very clear what happens on a Triumph and Edge. But in the rulebook it mentions many times, "on a hit" and then what happens on a Triumph/Edge - I have interpreted this to mean, on a "success" (i.e. Triumph or Edge). At first I thought it was a misprint of "miss" but no, it shows up a LOT. A rules edit should have caught this with an explanation, or a change of expression ("hit" could mean a lot of things, and in a zombie game, one can automatically associate it with "violence", "striking", etc.). Overall good game, and I would run again. Also, this must be an early version of the rules, as they have characters with two 3 skills and one with a 4 skill! Basic characters have 3, 2, 2, 1 dispersed over their four skills.

4:10 I'm sorry, but the second I heard the Air Benders were "very serious", I got instantly thrown out of immersion in disbelief... Even Uncle Iroh, who had never met one before Aang, had said that they had been known for their sense of humor. (I'm going to un-pause and hopefully get some better context of what's going on for stagnant Air Benders to become a thing. maybe it was an Eastern temple thing...)

this system just doesnty feel righ to me. no rolling, no chance, to attempts, they just say what happens and what they do and they succeed at it. This doesn't feel like you are playing a game together it just feels like they are telling you what is happening

Aren’t airbenders typically fun and playful?

I have literally played this dnd game in middle school. Played a full Avatar themed campaign at age 13, love this!

Waterbending… royalty… on the streets? I could see fire nation or earth kingdom but water tribe’s fairly family oriented/loyal 😅 and “OH’-muh-shu”? There’s so many things wrong… would recommend watching the show you’re tryina roleplay :P
