Superyacht Fire
Shows a superyacht that was completely engulfed in flames. I discuss the importance of washing your boat or any other asset that gets covered by ash and soot. Yes it is harmless to the touch, however, when there is a nice thick ash layer, it will mix with the morning dew, or light rain, and turns into a caustic paste that eats through polyurethanes.

In this short video, we show what happens when these superyachts have electrical malfunctions. No one in this video was physically injured, just a financial injury. What happens when $30M vessel wrecks into $1.5M vessel, which then becomes an unmanned water missile and hits an $18M vessel, that just received a new custom paint job! This accident occurred back in 2019.

I have a very old GRP sail boat which has a topside in poor condition. I have sanded it and have the dilemma of which product to use. From what i can see the easiest option is paint as its easy to apply and gives shiny result, plus is simple to patch damage. Whereas Gelcoat is really a moulding product which comes out of the mould nice and shiny because it was starved of oxygen and set hard and smooth. If you choose to apply gelcoat onto an existing surface its more effort, needs a wax to set (flowcoat) and sets with an orange peel texture. That then needs sanding and polishing to get the desired finish, so its heaps more effort. Using gelcoat should give a longer lasting and thicker coat.
@@simonroyle2806 you nailed it! I will say that coatings have come along way. Using Awlgrip’s HDT will provide a similar finish to polished gel coat.

Are these classes designed for you to go and learn there or is self study needed before hand.
@@AndrewDock you can 100% learn all of it there, during the 4-5 day class. I went into knowing nothing but hearing some of the terminology from my old man. (Polyurethanes, epoxies, acrylic, etc). The class is wonderfully designed to crush you with a lot of useful information in a short time span.

This is probably within the first 2 minutes. Fires start quickly. Humans cannot yet transport instantly across space and time.
