Oh 1000m battery amazon shows 3000m maybe they are doing some text trickery and its 3000 meters range. The asmax has a lot better audio quality from the review I watched yesterday.

Thanks. When you connect with another rider, the units are "paired" together and ready to communicate. But you have to press the intercom button to open the channel for communications. It will stay open and you can talk for as long as you wish. When you don't want to talk anymore you can press the button again to end intercom. The units will still remain paired and ready to communicate. Even when powered down, the next time you power them up they will still be paired, but you must press the intercom button to start talking. As for music, if you are playing music and then hit the intercom button, the music will pause.

When you say you tried it on the other side, I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean you took the power supply and connected it to the other recliner and it worked? If so, then it could still be the switch. Even though the switch lights with power, it can still be faulty. The power supply will turn itself off if it senses a fault in the switch. If that's the case, I would try just replacing the switch. If it doesn't work, you can always return it, and they are cheap anyway. Plus....It's only a matter of time before your switch dies as it's a very common problem with these chairs, so it may not hurt to have an extra on hand for cheap insurance

It's "OK". However I find most of these (Even my Cardo with JBL's) are all on the thin side. BUT... I always wear earplugs when I ride which I think they all sound better with earplugs as it cuts out the high's and boosts the lows. So with earlplugs, these sound great

Unfortunately that's correct. 3 can be paired, but only 2 can talk at a time. They do make the newer XGP X10 that supports up to 10, but of course more expensive. But I reviewed that one too if you want to check it out th-cam.com/video/lbqPFCDaeXU/w-d-xo.html

@ what does that mean though that 3 can be paired but only two talk at the same time? Can I talk to both but only one can speak back? To me, pairing and being able to talk and listen are synonymous but I’m clearly incorrect. Can you clarify what the limitations are? In other words, what does pairing the 3rd device actually do if not enable talking? It also markets that it can connect to two cell phones. Makes me wonder why it can’t just connect to two intercoms instead.

@@Funcentric It means that 3 can be paired, but only 2 can talk simultaneously. It can't support keeping 3 channels open at the same time. One of the riders must press his button and drop from the active group chat and then the other can press theirs and connect into the chat. That's a limitation of the bluetooth network. The more advanced ones that use mesh network can support more riders speaking at the same time

@@Funcentric I do like the XGP brand. I use my Cardo Pactalk Edge on my main helmets, but I use the XGP on my other helmet for when my wife rides with me and we can communicate. Cardo of course being more expensive, but I am impressed with the XGP quality and features for its price. I find Fodsports to be good as well, but the XGP 10 is a really good unit

I agree. It's not something I would buy for myself. But for someone that doesn't want to spend a lot of money or need to communicate with other users? It's fine for listening to music or getting GPS directions or even phone calls. Sometimes people just need the minimum and don't want to pay for features they don't need. So yeah, I myself don't use it. But I could see how others may find it useful

I was surprised this bike didn't get better mileage for it's engine size. Still a fun bike t ride, but yeah I agree it needs to get better mpg for it's size

Oh there’s definitely cheaper ways for sure. A relay can do the same thing. This is really for people that want a quick easy foolproof way without having to worry about doing any real wiring.

I'm not sure. It depends. But it probably doesn't hurt to try replacing the switch anyway. They are inexpensive, and if you buy it on Amazon and it doesn't fix it, you can always return it. But you have to do process of elimination and rule out the switch first.

It's legit. I was a little hesitant at first when I learned about TuneECU. But I guess the creator doesn't want to go through the Google Play store and have them take a cut of his profits so he does payment on the side. I do have to say that he's very responsive and process the payment and license quickly (at least when I did it a couple of years ago). But it is a legit program and the creator does process the request and responds in a timely manner

It's a design flaw that definitely needs to be addressed but isn't terrible depending where you live. Here in the New York its not too bad except for the couple of REALLY HOT days we get in July. After that, it's bearable and actually welcoming the rest of the year. But if you live in hot climates then this would definitely be an issue. Either way, Triumph should redesign the airflow

Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, I agree as in most things in life, you do get what you pay for. My go to setup is my SHOEI helmet and Cardo. BUT..... As you know it comes at a cost. I'm just glad we have options as some people may not need a fancy coms system or it may be for occasional use or just for vice navigation etc.. So it's good we have options and pretty good ones too that won't break the bank. But yeah, the more expensive products are definitely better quality and performance, but it does come at a price. People just need to figure out if the cost justifies it for themselves. Thanks again and safe travels!

That's an excellent question and one that's been bugging me for a while a I've never been able to find any documentation that says what fuse that port connects to. And without knowing that, I have no idea how many amps the fuse is for whichever circuit that is on. With that in mind, you may want to look into a Thunderbox. @@Mudslidex1 I ordered a fog light Ali kit that is made to connect to the battery! (no + after contact wire). I will test it before on the 'accessory' socket, we will see? It would be perfect. I saw the thunderbox, but I do not know if there is space under the saddle of the trident ;-) and it adds a price! if we can avoid it. I made the request on the trident forum.....I am waiting....and I will say if it works in a week.....

@@krisss9566 Cool. Keep me updated how it works. Most fog lights (LED I'm assuming) don't draw much power so hopefully you will be fine. Always good to save money and find alternate ways. I do love the Thunderbox, but yeah, it's a little pricey and space can be an issue on some bikes. But hopefully this works out for you!

@@Mudslidex1 My friend ! tin tin tin ;-) cool cool....I went to see the triumph mechanic! It can be tried!...but there is another solution the 'accessory socket'. If you do a full exhaust swap then yes, You would want to tune the bike and upload a new mapping for the bike. There are plenty out there to choose from and many already have mappings available for different types of exhausts.

Thanks. Unfortunately no, they won't pair with the insta360. I find brands like DJI, GoPro, and Insta like to stay in a very closed loop and only work with a small amount of "approved" wireless products which are usually their own brand

You have to use the Cardo App on your phone. It has a record audio function. So when you start it on your phone, it records the audio from your Cardo (How ever many riders are connected) and records that audio to your phone. From your phone you can then share it to Google Drive or One Drive or transfer to your computer however you wish. But the audio file is on it's own which you then would sync to the video using whatever video editing software you're using

Yeah, I have the same issue too. There doesn't seem to be any internal battery in these things. And I've found that with different brands of the same type of device to be the same. But yes, like you, once it pairs with the phone the time synchs again. Odd for sure, but I guess they figure you wouldn't use this without a phone anyway. But still, they should at least put a cheap coin style battery in it to keep the time.
