This channel is dedicated to sharing an audiobook version of a book called “The People of the Secret”. The book was written by Ernest Scott and has an introduction by English author Colin Wilson. It is currently out of print.
The book makes the claim that there are so-called ‘secret people’ who have looked out and guided humanity since the dawn of time. Not for evil ends, but rather to help us achieve the aim of our existence. What is the aim of our existence? That is revealed directly in the book, without any mysticism, in the last chapter.
It has always been a hopeful book for me, and I hope will be one for you too.

The book is about Sufis. If you don’t know what or who that is, please do a little research before listening. I would suggest the TH-cam channel of Idries Shah, who was a well-known Sufi.

AI for Prophets not Profits... Summary of "The People of the Secret - Chapter 11: Sufi Discourses, Rituals, Initiation" 1. Western Misinterpretations of Sufism Western investigators often interpret Sufism through their own biases: Religious scholars see it as an Islamic religious group. Occultists view it as mystical or magical. Anthropologists regard it as a remnant of primitive ceremonies. This "magic mirror effect" reveals preconceptions rather than the essence of Sufism, making its true nature elusive. 2. Sufism’s Multidimensional Nature Sufism cannot be reduced to a single category, such as religion, psychology, or social philosophy. The statement, "He who tastes knows," highlights that its essence is experiential and cannot be fully described or analyzed. Paradoxes like "Sufism is other than any other cult" reflect its complexity. The team studying Sufism recognized that all attempts to define it from conventional perspectives were inadequate. 3. Global Interest in Sufism Interest in Sufism has grown globally, with an increasing number of publications addressing it. Between 1956 and 1960, contributions on Sufism were produced at a rate of one every seven days. This surge may suggest a deliberate effort by Sufis to open their teachings to a world facing unique challenges. 4. Indirect Teaching and Mystical Learning The Sufi teaching method often employs indirect means: Anecdotes like Jalaludin Rumi's explanation of poverty-"A poor man is one who, having known Allah, hath his tongue tied"-illustrate teaching through action rather than explicit words. Students learn through observation, reflection, and experience rather than structured doctrines. 5. Core Teachings by Rumi Rumi offered profound insights into human behavior and spiritual growth: Learning often occurs indirectly. Conventional ideas of right and wrong are shaped by societal norms. Judgment with inadequate tools leads to harm. These teachings emphasize self-awareness, adaptability, and the importance of experiential understanding. 6. Modern Sufi Practices An interview with a Sufi teacher in England highlighted the organization of Sufi teachings: Groups (Halqas) are led by a teacher or deputy and are integral to learning. Sufi practices, like meditation and contemplation, are fragments of a larger system. The interview revealed that Sufism cannot be grasped academically but requires active participation and experiential insight. 7. Challenges of Sufi Recruitment Sufis are selective in accepting students. Propaganda is avoided, as it conditions beliefs that may hinder true understanding. Those rejected may lack the readiness to pursue Sufism, which requires a state of openness and capacity beyond mere enthusiasm or curiosity. 8. The Role of the Crazed Saint A unique type of Sufi teacher, the "crazed saint," uses unorthodox and indirect methods to guide students. Their erratic behavior, often misjudged by outsiders, serves as a teaching tool to challenge societal norms and provoke reflection. Their work often becomes more appreciated after their death when their actions are reinterpreted. 9. Rituals of Initiation Sufi initiation involves a probationary period: Candidates express affection for the teacher and undergo guidance before formal initiation. The Bay’at (oath of allegiance) often includes symbolic actions, such as the placement of hands, signifying acceptance into the spiritual path. 10. Final Reflections The chapter underscores the uniqueness of Sufi teachings: Sufism transcends labels, defying religious, psychological, or cultural boundaries. Its teachings aim to contact deeper layers of human potential, distinguishing it from other systems. By leaving students to discover their path independently, Sufis foster self-realization and genuine spiritual growth. This comprehensive overview demonstrates that Sufism is a living tradition, adaptable and profound, inviting seekers to journey beyond conventional boundaries of understanding.

There is a malignant secret society that is attempting to create a NWO.
The Sufi Order and the Sons of the Green Light guided me here 👋
Where are the people now?
Not sure why this was on my algo but after one hour listening I still have not a clue what he’s going on about.
He rambles a lot, you really have to focus when listening, but it is interesting.
Bloody john wick 😂 this is basically a book about he said she said. Whats the utility of this precisely. Feels like mindless gossip
He said, she said; but its the sufi's

At least they took the time to give us the work for free so thank you.

good
All this fits very well with a book I've read called Liberta Va Cercando by Maria Soresina. It claims that Dante's main influence in writing his Divine Comedy was the Gnostic doctrine of the Cathars.
I'm starting to translate an Italian book by Luigi Valli called Dante and The Faithful of Love. This secret society sounds like it comes from The Brethern of Sincerity.
Gosh you're a Lifesaver! thank you so much!! This is something I really wanted to read but I didn't want to pay over $100 to buy it off of Amazon and the only PDFs I found for were like the first 50 pages or so Anyways that was a couple years ago and then for some reason I just felt this strong inner prompting to go and reread the PDFs of the first part of the book and I felt like ahh why not check out and see if anyone has it on TH-cam and boom! here you are! Only a few months ago too So thank you once again my friend❤
❤
hi, please continue kind sir, exactly the type "birds eye view" that i like, and focusing the gaze in the right direction
Thank you for sharing! I'm excited to dive into the inspiring book you recommended.
So true but all masons are a deviation from the divine will and will ultimately be destructive for humanity. Including masonic states and revolutions. They have created a man made nightmare of slavery and compromise. And yet they disguise themseves masterfully as" freedom" "democracy" "equality." Although these are noble ideals they do not exist in rebellion and trickery. Known as duplicity. Man is his own worst enemy and the devil just uses our immaturity, forgetting, ignorance, and desires.

Thank you for putting this together. As someone who is very much into the work of Rudolf Steiner with some familiarity with Gurdfief and Bennet, I very much appreciate this work.
RUDOLF Steiner is amazing.....love his work. Cheers
Terrible cover. Nothing like the fake globe to instantly turn you off from anything claiming to be wisdom.. It is down right embarrassing.
