This channel is for anyone looking to grow in video content creation: videographers, influencers, marketing/media employees, business owners who do their own video content, etc. Long gone are the days where creating professional video is delegated to the filmmakers and media crew. The modern videographer is using a mirrorless camera and learning everything for free on TH-cam. Expect tips and tutorials on lighting, audio, filming techniques and video editing...and, of course, camera gear.

can can a 16inch laptop fit in the back of the lid organizer?
Why do I ALWAYS have to re enable the red border feature for RECORDING every time I turn my camera off and on again? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!! :(
Fantastic. Thanks for helping us who can't spend a fortune on expensive gear! You're god sent
You guys are underrated! Thanks you convinced me to buyi the kit!
you lost me at awb 😜
I only wish I'd found your channel a lot sooner. Awesome video
Amazing video man. No one was helping me find this information, life saver.
thanks
Can you please mention the brightness of your lights and the camera settings (specially ISO). Thanks in advance
Don't remember the settings but I definitely had the ISO at 640 which is the native iso for SLOG 3. I think the aperture was at 2.8 so I'm sure the light output wasn't that high
Hello, thanks for the video. I'm trying to do your technique of locking focus using the spot - except I can't get it to lock, it keeps changing to focus on whatever is in the rectangle. Could anyone help? thanks!
Customize another button to toggle between Auto focus and manual focus so that when you get it to focus on the thing you want, you can easily switch to manual focus and it'll stay there. Or you can use the auto focus track function and it'll track focus to whatever you tap on on your screen
It's all nice until you look at the price tag of€479 its too absurd. Why should the padding cost €179 alone?
I believe you get what you pay for but I could be wrong
Super helpful overview, this is my second time coming back to this video for reference! Thanks for sharing knowledge :D.
Glad to help!
Great video and see what's inside your case! Is posible to store a photography tripod in this case?
Thanks for watching! There might be a really small tripod that could fit (possible a table top tripod) but probably not
Great video mate, you are awesome! Keep up creating this great content. I just subscribed!
Thanks for the sub! What kind of videos would you like to see more of?
Another great video. I have no idea why the TH-cam algorithm hasn’t made the channel huge.
That'd be awesome if it did!
Excellent video. Showing the effects of distance, and the fill light, was very useful.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for sharing this experience. Been looking people with experience about Sony FF lenses. Glad found your vid. Keep it up.
Glad to help!
Great tutorial on how to use these tube lights. I really like the way you keep showing wide shots so we can see where all the lights are stationed. So tutorials only show the one or two lights they have set up but then you can't see the way they interact with the other lights you have set up. So kudos to you and your tutorial. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Wow! thank you so much for this detailed info. I'm curious, I do crafting videos and I have a 3.5' by 4.5' working surface, and a 3' top-down height to mount my camera (Canon EOS M50 MKII) what lens would you recommend to for these videos. Right now, I use the kit lens (15mm-45mm), but I find I'm having adjust the camera angle each time I shift from my cutting board to my sewing machine. I'd like to have a single POV that covers the full area. your insight is greatly appreciated!!
cool🎉🎉🎉
Hey, I watched your video. I'd personally advise against presented solutions. You need to many devices, lack of gain control and extreme is when you have to link two devices together - kind of Frankenstein 😂 I'd recommend Zoom H6 instead, it's small and portable, has 4-6 xlr inputs, phantom power, built in compressor and limiter and works as an audio interface on top of recorder (even for iPad) as well as the mic itself. Both battery and usb powered. If you consider all that it offers much better value and functionality.
Great tips 👏🏻

Hey. Just subscribed amazing quality videos! Keep it up excellent content ❤
strap was too small for me but it is a really nice bag
Depth!!! That's what it is! Thanks!
Killing it with the TH-cam content my guy! I just discovered your channel after watching your Nanuk 935 short and definitely following for more :)
Thank you brother! Haven't posted in months but hoping to get back into it soon. What kind of videos do you think I should make?
@@themodernvideographer Everything you've been putting out is great! You're definitely hitting that sweet spot for videographers who aren't quite looking to spend as much as a cinematographer and also for those creators who want to invest a little more for some great quality gear. At the end of the day, you have to produce what you enjoy. I'd definitely be interested in seeing more of your work, whether it was for a client shoot or your own personal project!
Love this! On vacations do you go just camera & lens (rather than monitor etc too!) and did you shot s-log or a more ready to use profile like s-cinetone? Such a lovely film.
Thanks! Yeah just camera, lens and a 1/8 pro mist filter. Shot in s-log3
Hi I mostly commute by public transport as it’s convenient in my country was wondering based on your experience do you think its safe to roll around the equipment on bumpy grounds like road and walkways 🙏🏽
Yeah I think it's safe but just in case, don't pack anything breakable/valuable on the section by the wheels
Would you be able to plug in the XLR microphone through Shure's mvx2u (new audio interface) straight into the camera and get a clean sound?
Can you carry clothes like pelican cases
Nice video man, you deserve much more subscribers!
Thank you brother! Haven't posted in months but hoping to get back into to it. What kind of videos do you think I should make?
my setup is sick thanks to you
👍🏼
Nice setup. I have that same Ulanzi overhead setup too. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Great video! I'm curious ... would a 300 watt COB with a softbox be enough to light near a large window?
Yeah if you can get it close to your subject
@@themodernvideographer It would be great to see you do a video on this. Possibly using different power units. 😉 Lots of videos deal with controlled lighting situations ... making lighting a lot simpler!
There’s no way to definitively answer that question. All depends on what’s outside the window, if it’s front-lit or back-lit, what time of day it is, and the path of the sun. If you’re shooting out the window and the stuff outside is backlit (the sun is not directly hitting the items in the frame) a 300w should be fine. But, if you have large, white buildings getting blasted by direct sun, you’ll need at least 600w or more. In my opinion, the whole “shoot out a window and hold exposer for both the talent AND the outside” is a fad that needs to go away. It’s not natural, and often looks like an HDR composite. It’s totally normal to see movies, tv, and docs with blown out windows. Remember, filming is about choosing what you want your audience to focus on. If you give them a well exposed, distracting background, they’re gonna look outside more than at the talent.
basically have the same set-up, except using Tamron 28-200 (4.6"). Will it fit? Looking for smallest possible sling.
Yeah it should fit!
what tripod is that?
Sirui 3T-35 table top tripod
Great video man! Appreciate you sharing your space and knowledge for everyone! Something I saw and think would be great for the safety of your camera is a V-Mount Battery Plate which will avoid connecting your camera straight to the V-Battery, therefore not sending more voltage to your camera that can damage it. I saw this tip in multiple channels and well I had to share that with. Cheers brother!
Thank you for watching and thanks for the tip! 🙏🏼
Great video. I happen to have a home studio like yours and you have great ideas I can implement! What was the phone app the you used to be a wireless monitor? Monitor Plus app?
Thank you! Yes the Monitor+
Thank you. This is exactly what I'm looking for.
Glad to help!

Glad to help!
Insightful Vid, thank you 😊🙏🏻. Pls put some Music in the background 😊
Glad to help!
Thanks, incase you haven't yet. Add "natural lighting video shoot cellphone" to the keywords. I found this one after reaching your title
Thanks!
awesome, just picked one of these up (and a cloud lifter) to use with my TX-6. thanks!
Awesome! Hope it works great with your setup
@@themodernvideographer Me too! I should be trying it out sometime this week. I'll comment back if it worked as expected. :)
loading up the top slots will cause it to fold back. its kinda annoying!
Oh no that sucks. I haven't experienced that yet haha but I hope I don't
solid guide, thank you!
