I HATE this cut of steak
Thanks for stopping by the channel. In this video I cook for the third time a cut of steak that I just can't get on board with. Although full of flavor and doesn't by any means the quality of the meat from Crooked Butcher is bad. Let me know what you think of the Denver Steak and how you've cooked it.

Cook one of the best steaks you'll ever make. In this video I cooked a 60 day dry aged ribeye sous vide. 🤠 Sandals and Weber kettles…. I have dumped My chimney of coals into the kettle, And had Red hot embers of charcoal go through the bottom vent right onto the top of my exposed feet🤣 i’m extra careful about that now, usually I’ll put on something different for that part of the process🤣 Anyway thanks for the great video, I’m going to follow your lead and cook a hunk of flank steak on my weber tonight, i’m feeling very confident about it, hope my dinner guest will enjoy it!

    I bought a Denver steak yesterday and went to TH-cam for thoughts about how to cook it. After reverse searing -- 225°F in the oven till meat reached 130°F, then seared in a hot skillet with butter and herbs -- I came to the same conclusion did did here. First time was last time.

      @@thinbluesmokebbq2465 I love to grill! I've been doing it for years, but I'm not skilled at all cuts to have them turn out the best. But it's all edible. :)! I did a brisket on a small kettle grill using the snake method and 9 hours later it was awesome! No wrapping or any of that. The meat was still warm when I grabbed it off the grill, so it cooled down very slowly. But that was my first attempt at a brisket. Low and slow is Mt method for all good cuts these days!

But I'm not a pit master, I'm just a regular dude cooking some new stuff. If I had time to be a pit master all my laundry would be done. LMBO. Thanks for the reply bud. not a great comparison because it’s a grill vs a smoker. I have an ironwood which will get up to almost 500 degrees. It’s a smoker, really designed for low and slow, much more like an oven than a grill. You won’t get much smoke flavor if you use a smoker as a grill at 300+. A fair comparison would have been to cook indirect on the Weber.

    • @thinbluesmokebbq2465
      @thinbluesmokebbq2465 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The traeger ranger is a grill it’s not a smoker. The ranger isn’t designed for low and slow. Maybe watch the video again or Google traeger ranger.

  • @mtkreger
    @mtkreger 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You won't get much smoke flavor cooking on a pellet grill at that temp. Try 225 and then raise at end of cook to reverse sear. Only then will you experience the full power of the smoke.

    • @thinbluesmokebbq2465
      @thinbluesmokebbq2465 3 ปีที่แล้ว
