Having done some research, I’ve determined the cylinder head cover above the exhaust to be my culprit. If your bike is having a similar problem, hopefully you’ll find this video useful. Welcome to my channel! Today we are fixing a significant oil leak on my 2001 Suzuki Savage (Suzuki Boulevard S40). This head plug is one of the most common causes for oil leaks on these bikes. The top end was rebuilt and the head gasket was replaced, so this is almost certainly our issue. With some common hand tools and a willingness to get dirty, this project can be done at home in an afternoon!
