What lenses do you use?
This was shot with the 18-55 kit lens
so good bro
Would love a workflow video
Did you use an ND filter? What did you use for denoising?
I used a cheap neewer ND8 for most shots. Slight denoise with Topaz
Great work with Magic Lantern! Very nice video!
Magic Lantern is so impressive. Love the color.
Beautiful! You made the kit lens look amazing. Do you still use the BMMCC too?
@@VietinghoffAlex Thanks! I do still use the bmmcc, I shot a documentary with it recently
@SpencerHetherington awesome, is the the running one? I sent you an email I think, I was wondering if you'd be up for doing a short interview on your tips for using the BMMCC. I'm in Fredericton and making a video on using the camera in 2024
This is so good considering this is a silent film. You understand everything happening without having any words being spoken.
Yo what lens did you guys use for this? Or was it just your editing skills were amazing? With my super 8mm viceroy camera the footage comes off WAAAAY more grainy and overexposed and amateurish :(
@@NightOwlUtopia This was shot with the Canon Auto Zoom 814 which has a 7.5-60mm f1.4 lens. A high quality scan also has a big impact. This was a 4K HDR scan from Frame Discreet
sick!
Babe wake up new Spencer content just dropped
I know this said trailer but it had me angry when it was over. Great job!
Love how weird and cool this is
The lighting and the clothing palette is perfect for each scene. Wonderful!
this was amazing, the music matched each part so perfectly
Nice ! :)
incredible
Incredible short film!
i love a lot of things in this movie but... this guy is the worst actor that i ever seen, he destroy (in the bad way speaking) a movie WITHOUT a single word.
Great work
Great story and idea!
Very beautiful! By the way, what's the music you used in this video?
The soundtrack and sound design of this is just incredible. Really well done.
Poignant, beautifully shot and produced film. Just discovered your channel and work.
Great shots!
Very good and interesting story.
Are you seriously telling me this was shot on super 8?! It looks closer to 16mm in quality. What film stock and model camera were you using for this? I'm legitimately in disbelief. Regardless, this was absolutely beautiful and intensely personal. It was wonderful, dude. Seriously, the fact that you somehow have under 500 subs and this hasn't been viewed much is mind boggling.
Thank you! This was all shot on Kodak Vision3 200T 7213 and the Canon Auto Zoom 814, with a 4K HDR scan.
@@SpencerHetherington I have that exact model! The scan makes a lot of sense. Insanely high quality. Thanks for the response, man.
cool images
1:20-1:32 When someone wants to walk out the door, DO NOT SIT AND CRY; you run to the door and open it wide for them to walk out----but DO NOT CLOSE THE DOOR. You stand there and leave it open...because the real person you need and who will love you is coming through that door. Canon Auto Zoom 814 lives---Andromeda International Records and Films
How are you liking the 17-55mm and 0.58x speed booster combo? Can you change aperture with that combo? I also have a BMMCC and would like to buy lenses for it.
It's a great all around inexpensive lens. Aperture can be changed through the camera / remote
so good
Sorry i keep asking what camera lol you are really amazing at making movies!
Black magic micro?
Camera?
Canon T2i
What camera?
Canon T5i
So good!
Good stuff. Like the whacky vibe and energy
Marvelous! Amazing, love this.
So beautiful! Well done.

Looks so good.
love the vibe of this footage.
Great
Really nice work! Something you have to watch more than once but really a nice trip. A lot of the times it felt like the 70s. Well, im glad at least the Super8 looks oldschool because most of the 35mm these days looks too clean and digital like. I dont know if its because of post on computer or the new lenses or the fllmstock or the processing or everything, super8 and sometimes 16mm can look more oldschool and beautiful than 35mm.
My guess would be that the technology of film as well as advancements in telecine scanning allows for us to see some of the upper limits of the resolution of film stock.
@@noscaasifilmstudios Oh yeah you're right, more dynamic range in the new stocks and on post, they turn up the S curve, sometimes too much
This is great! I can't get 60p Raw 3:1 to work with any SD cards. What card do you use?
I've been using the Kingston Canvas Go and it works quite well.
@@SpencerHetherington Awesome! Thank you, I'm excited to start using this camera again.
I loved the short film:)) Quick question though about the production. Where did you shoot the scene with the burning coffin. Or I guess to put it better, what were the logistics of it like? I need more information for an upcoming project and how to do it safely and all.
Ohh the madame from Tiktok💟
Finally some well color graded BM footage on youtube, looks great!
