IS THE VELVETISER A KEEPER ?????????? IS THE HOTEL CHOCOLAT HOT CHOCOLATE MACHINE WORTH IT ???????
มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Hi everyone, today we are testing the high end product by Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser. It’s a hot a chocolate maker, it doesn’t actually make the Hot chocolate powder it’s just warm and froths up the ingredients. So let’s go ahead and test it. I’m also using a £7 electric hand blender from Morrisons but you can get them in Tesco. You can also find a lot of products on Amazon. All, details of prod...
Don’t buy this camcorder 2023
มุมมอง 4902 ปีที่แล้ว
Welcome all to my first video on my new channel. In todays video I am doing a review on an inexpensive camcorder from Amazon. All links are below. This camcorder although very inexpensive is very poor quality and does not live it up to its review on Amazon. The camcorder comes out at £159 & yes I know what you are going to say, ‘you get what you pay for ‘ and that is correct and very true howev...
Recently I received the Velvetiser I purchased for myself. I have used it so far 3 times. The bundle I chose came with 1 box of your choice of chocolate flakes plus I purchased 1 more box. I had a discount code for $5.00 off the chocolate flakes. Here in the United States the bundle with 1 box of chocolate is about $150.00. A regular box of the flakes is about $25.00 USD. I honestly feel that this is extremely overpriced. It does get it hot but for me I prefer it even hotter to where It feel like it is hot going all the way down to my soul. No not burning just hot. For the price it can be larger where you can get 2 - 3 cups out of it. Also the flakes can be cheaper since it's only 10 in the box. This is why I purchase some Lindt & Ghirardelli flavored Chocolate bars ( none with nuts). I chopped it up & have used that. I get more out of that than the flakes. Don't get me wrong I will use the flakes I purchase but I will be using the chocolate of my choice. This so I can adjustify the money I spent on this. Overall I do like the Velvetiser, but it should be at a cost of $35.00 - $40.00 USD NOT $150.00 ☹️
Velvetizer, absolutely. Getting a bowl, and mixer with beaters is WAY too much! EFFORTLESS AND EASY for me!
I would buy the velvo mashine it's easy and you don't need to have so much to do hotel chocolate is lush to but each to there own but the second way you did to much effort 😂😂 and the velvo I just got one can't wait to use it.
You can get this and the two mugs for less than £60 atm. We prefer callebaut belgian chocolate. I also preheat the mugs. I have to say we use the ' hot chocolate shaker 'more often as it's quicker to make multiples. The bar chicolate you used is full of sugar btw.
Top tip from me, I add a little bit of cold milk into the glass first and use battery powered milk frother, this creates fantastic foam then I use a jug with chocolate and milk and whisk that. At the end, it end up looking like hot chocolate latte with white milk froth on top 😁
a better comparison may be using your own grated chocolate in the velvetiser
Yes i do the same! Just another overpriced gadget! Get over 70% choc which is the best and you have the perfect hot chocolate add cream and marshmallows for a touch of luxury!
Hi Nicki,im one of your subscribers I’m wondering if you’ve stoped doing your videos I miss watching you I hope you are ok . Shirley
Hi I’ve noticed how long it’s been since the last video and wondered if I’d missed an announcement x
When it's 3am and a cold winters night, the Velvetiser is the way to go.
As someone who bought the velvetiser, I'd recommend the dualit milk frother. It's essentially the same machine but the dualit frother has an option for cold frothing. The design and functions are almost identicle because dualit are the manufacturers of the velvetiser. The dualit machine is also a bit cheaper.
Paris Rhône £50 cheaper
Hi, can you pls do house tour your house looks amazing
I’ve just ordered one and think it might be easier for me as I can’t stand for long and I think I’d use it more often to have more hot drinks especially frothy hot chocolate. I can’t wait to do my own versions with chocolate bars too
I have just noticed Home Bargains are now selling 850 ml white vinegar in a spray bottle for around a £1.
This is something I’ve always personally done my washing exactly like you, except I like ironing 🫣 I think I’m sick in the head or something as my mother says 😂
Hi Nikki, I can't believe I missed this video . Thank you so much for sharing your tips. I will definitely be following all of your advice as I always have a good basket of ironing. It is only my husband and I as my son has flown the nest. This will really help me . Please keep doing all of your little tips , as I love all of your videos xx
Thanks nikki some great tips xx
Very interesting and informative thanks ❤️👍🏻
great tips cheers !
Great tips ! But I wouldn’t put towels in with clothes as it will absorb the most water & prevent everything getting clean ! Keep same light weight fabrics together 😊
👍🏼
Thanks Nicky, I do roughly the same as you did, but Mum told me never put a towel in with your nice stuff 🤷🏻♀️
I don’t normally put towels in with clothes but this was just a quick video mainly aiming at the ironing side of things x
A little tip my mum gave me about hanging out washing was when hanging trousers hang them from the bottom the weight from the top ie waste band helps pull out the creases x
It’s funny as my mum always hangs from the waist band so I suppose I have we just pick things up from our parents x
🌺 That’s a good little tip 👍 Thank you, 🌺
Im obsessed with the dryer coz I can hang them up haha I no its not cost effective 🙈🙈
Every one is different and there is no rules about x
@@bitsbobsbargains27 very true I wear tunics for work and I wash them on 40 and put the spin down to 400 and when the wash is done I literally just shake them and hang to dry, as I find the iron leaves like a shinny sheen on them thanks for the tips luv xx
I hate ironing unless I really, really have to. Give them a good shake and bobs your uncle.
That's my method.
Hate ironing with a passion so great tips thanx for sharing Nikki x
I do this all the time lessons the ironing ,winner winner chicken dinner. One thing I hated to do iron.
Cool🎉
I use an electric milk frother from George Asda that cost me £12. Heats it up, mixes and makes it lovely and creamy. Use grated bourneville chocolate for mine a large bar for £1.50 does 4 cups.
This is what I’m getting Velvetiser way too over priced
Very interesting and informative thanks 👍🏻❤️
So do you add any crystals to the spray bottle with the other ingredients? TFS 😊
No as the crystal’s don’t dissolve
agree about using natural stuff x
Hi Nikki I prefer the natural way of cleaning. Like you I do not like the fumes. Just a point I did not see you clean the roof of the oven! Do you use the products for cleaning the dishwasher? Have a great weekend. xx
Hiya, I did the roof inside off camera. Yes I use the same for cleaning the dishwasher too x
Hi Nikki what about a sprinkler for the bicarbonate of soda? Can reuse after the container is finished. Loved the video thanks Elaine xx
Yes I need to get a sprinkle dispenser 😂
Such a good comparison i use vinger and natural lemon 🍋 together especially for cleaning my kettle leave overnight brings it up like new. Definitely gone down the natural route myself helps the environment 😌. Love your channels x 😄
Great video.hate oven cleaning.thanx for sharing Nikkixx
I also like cleaning with vinegar and soda and since you look for bargains,if you live near a Costco and have a membership, you could purchase big jugs of vinegar and big bags of Bicarbonate of soda from there, just do the breakdown on cost per unit, kilogram to see if it would be more cost effective.
Oh great tip thank you 🙏🏻
I do mine every 2 wks as my machine is expensive Bosch. Takes 2 ticks with an old bottle brush. I would be disgusted to find that. I dry the water left in the rubber seal & clean it round & leave door open everytime. Not hard to do.
👍🏻
Your absolutely correct brand biscuits are so much tastier than stores own. X
Yes they are and cheaper x
Do mine once a week, takes two minutes. I wouldn't let it get in that state. Mines a Miele, so very expensive. All that mod is unhealthy 😝
👍🏻
Great video! My partner bought me 1 for Christmas & I love it. For me the hand blender way is too much hassle & the velvetiser is easy to clean & a lot quicker & of course looks nicer 😜 I agree it’s pricey but everything is at hotel chocolat. I love adding the Costa powder instead or crumbling up a Cadbury flake. I made a lovely chocolate horlicks in it too & apparently it makes good lattes so it’s not just for hotel chocolat sachets 😊
Great tip! Yes expensive but like you say you can use other products x
Agreed. More dish cleanup and laundry. But nice to know all the options. 😊
Great results must try it
I do mine regularly using only washing up liquid and an old toothbrush.......works great
👍🏻
It always amazes me that something that cleans your clothes can it's self get so dirty using the products they tell us clean.
Yes I agree so true !!!
Amazing result any tips for inside washer to prevent smells pleasex
Of course, that’s my next video 😊
But in the meantime as soon as the cycle is done, open the door and remove the clothes, leave the door open. Every now and again I add the soda to the drum and put on a hot wash with nothing in the machine only the soda 😊
Thanks Nikki, brilliant 👍
Amazing results thanks for the tips👍🏻❤️
Brilliant job well done i will try it on my washing machine xxx
L I K E 👍 👍👍 👍👍😻😻 😻 😻 😻🤍❣🤍❣🤍🤍
Lovely and clean 👌👍xx
So glad I watched this I've been contemplating buying one for awhile, thankyou for a very well informed review 👍💖🤩
I’m glad it was helpful. Mine now has a fault, and I am going to return it. I really don’t think it’s worth the money 🤷🏼♀️
@@bitsbobsbargains27What is the fault, may I ask? TY x
