He makes enough contact to visibly shift Berisha's leg. The leg he is about to plant before taking the shot. Not only is there contact, but the contact affects his planting leg, which causes him to miss the shot.

It was a penalty because it would’ve been a foul anywhere else on the field.

Not a fan of either team, but penalty decision was 100% correct call. I remember at the time screen grabbing the video and watching it back frame by frame. Berisha's boot was clearly caught by the challenge causing him to lose his step and go down.

Definitely a penalty. Berisha had it under control and is skilful, he only missed it completely cause his left leg was knocked onto his right leg putting him well off balance.

If you think this was not a penalty watch @7:23 in .25 speed and you'll see Berisha's left leg get kicked out of position before he stands on it, causing the air swing. Props to the ref for making a brave and correct call.

I am a Brisbane fan and I think it was a dive but Perth glory a 10 players and Brisbane had a way better season so they would have won in extra time.

If i was the ref i would of given him a card for diving there was nothing in that at all

Berisha knew he dived look at his reaction after the penalty was given. If the glory player actually made contact he probably would of stayed down

During the game, I didn’t care about it cause we won but now looking back on it. It’s just Berisha doing his usual trick. We should not have been awarded that penalty. Berisha could have scored properly. Had VAR been around back then, it probably would be have been overturned.
