Первый этап установки, который проводится в WinPE - я его проделал вручную из-под 10-ки, чтобы распаковать установочные файлы из образа 7-ки. Ну, и добавил в Windows Boot Manager командой bcdboot. Уже потом запустил SevenESPManager, который нужен для совместимости с UEFI

@@SevoosChannel А почему ты распаковал install.wim именно при помощи DISM? Ведь можно просто архиватором вытащить все файлы из него и перекинуть на раздел под семёрку

Yes, that's right. Just remember that once the bootloader is replaced, anything newer than Windows 7 can't be booted, so you should have a bootable WinPE to run the script again from that environment

I have no idea if it supports Windows 7, I just know that my iGPU doesn't. Meanwhile, what did work, was RTX 2060 - the notebook version, but it's quite easy to hack a driver for the desktop version, as they have the same video CPU (or how is it called)

@@SevoosChannel apparently it does have a windows 7 version, I got the driver from the official website, but even that didn't seem to work for some reason, it just flat out says it's not supported, maybe it's the hardware support blocking it or something, and I found a program that bypasses the "unsupported hardware" thing

Nope, I don't think so. Windows 10 handles video input/output quite different compared to 7 and 8.x, plus the driver itself is proprietary

I basically won't be able to run Windows XP on my laptop, unless I replace one of the 2 SSDs with a non-NVMe (but still connected via m2) one

Andrew the Enderman got one for $50, which indeed was a steal. I may conduct the experiment with another one, which belongs to my mother (I managed to run a minimalistic WinPE bases on XP, even though it's built different compared to 7 and above - Vista has its own unique properties - but the USB didn't work. The AHCI driver, which I slipstreamed, worked through. I may try to install XP2ESD there)

Ok, got you. Do you actually try loading that driver during installation, not just copying to the partition on the USB drive? Also, try disabling vmd, it it's possible

There's no unsupported CPU (if it's x86_64 of course) In terms of eMMC, I haven't tried it, but it's possible as far as I know

do you think a VPN will block anything nefarious when using an outdated OS that has more holes in it than the Swiss cheese? VPN won't change the fact that anything - phone, tv - in your home WiFi could execute malware on your PC by sending packets on the local network...

@@kvdrr Who said anything about malware? VPN are used in countries with 'strict' copyright laws to avoid infringement notices while 'sailing the high seas flying the black flag'. Regarding obtaining shells and/or executing malware, even so-called modern Oses are vulnerable to zero-days.

​@@SevoosChannel Because Windows 10 1507 is just better than Windows 10 1903-22H2 and better than Windows 11 all versions, because 1507 is much more stable, and is smoother, and no bloatware (paint 3d, 3d objects, tik tok, disney games, doolby) like to 1903-22H2, and don't have Copilot and Recall like to Windows 11 version 24H2. 1507 have better start menu, and menu start, and have taskbar transparency look so good, and old wallpaper "Hero" look so good, 1507 have control panel, and and 1903-22H2 requiers Microsh*t Account, and 1507 is nostalgic for me like to Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 and Windows XP. But can crappy Windows 10 22H2 Home (hated by me), be converted to old good Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2015, in the same? In my opinion Windows 10 1507 and Windows 10 1903-22H2 are completely different version of Windows. In my opinion Windows 10 1507 is 2nd of my favoritue version of Windows, next to Windows XP. The IOT LTSC version won't let you migrate normally. So I suggest you to back up your data and install the os fresh.

I don't know, why are there multiple ways to set up partitions in the same environment though? Also, as I happened to use fdisk for MS-DOS, it just seemed more attractive, even though cfdisk is objectively more convenient to use

I understand that those are 2 completely different things called "fdisk"
