the problem with the wolverine claws is your design. the "real" wolverine claws are ankered in the forearm, not in the wrist, so what you made is not really represental of the source material. on top of that, if you had real adamantium, the problem with bending would be gone... its like taking the engine out of a car, and complain afterwards, that it only drives downhill...

You Wolverine's entire skeleton is encased in adamantium, and he has a healing factor. He's not breaking any bones when he uses the claws, and any tendon/ligament damage he might do to his wrists when using them heals immediately, and since things get stronger when they heal, I'm pretty sure his wrists are accustomed to using them. So for anyone else, the claws might be a C or D, but to Wolvie, it's at least an A.

just picked up the vid, lift, train martial arts, then you can wield weapons of a steel alloy. usually has SOME weight but the main issue is leverage to the weapon and if your grip strength isn't equal to your bodyweight.........you ain't handling no longsword much less a greatsword, also weird larger weapons like the "monkey stick" are meant to be swung in tandem with the body as you move. almost like a dance using your body to position the next move so that the weapon moves as if it was almost weightless

Maybe it's a regional thing, like how Arugula here is called Rocket in the UK, but you called a Pumpkin, was DEFINITELY a Butternut Squash. I should know, it's my mom's favorite. Regardless of regional terminology, this was a solid video. Love one Piece, Kaido is one of my favorite antagonists right now, and seeing his club being a viable weapon is great!

We've done the Chainsword. We've done Arlong's... 'sword'. I think it's time we made an Ork Choppa. Would it be a good weapon? Heavens, no! Would it be easy to make? Yes! Would it fun to hit things with? YES!!!

I would argue that the name 'chansword' is non-literal. It could be considered a 'laymen' name for the weapon. It is NOT a sword in the traditional sense, but it is referred to as one because it is used LIKE a sword. It's a sword analogue, but not an actual sword. Although, funnily enough, you actually wouldn't want to use it the same as you would a sword. Again, similarly, but not the same. You may duel with your opponent as if you were using a (rather heavy) sword, but as soon as you connect you'd want to push in and maintain that connection, just as you would a chainSAW. It's generally shown to be used like a normal sword in video games and cinematics, but that can be chalked down to aesthetics. That being said, characters ARE often shown pushing the attack in, like a chainsaw, when performing a 'finisher' type move, so it seems that a lot of developers are consciously aware of this feature of the weapon. A Chainsword is literally just a Chainsaw with its materials and ergonomics changed to better suit its use as a melee weapon. Would it be a GOOD weapon in the real world? Almost certainly not. Even with significant technological advancement, it would be prohibitively heavy and excessively prone to mechanical failure. But 40k ISN'T the real world. It's a purposely absurdist setting inspired by 80s hyper-violence and the 'Imperium of man' are well known for putting aesthetics above functionality. Just look up the Ecclesiarchy. These weapons are designed not just to kill things, but to do so in the sphincter-shrinkingly way imaginable. It's a weapon of awe and terror. Because 40k's lovely like that!

So, I think what you really ought to do is combine the Arlong sword with this, and mount a series of Arlong sword teeth on a hefty chain that runs around two sprockets, which you should definitely power by a high-speed electric motor. Then test it via remote activation from a mile away behind a blast shield and at least 5 miles from any other people, because fuck wielding that monstrosity, or being anywhere nearby if the teeth fly off.

8:10 ish - I think the name depends on location, for whatever reason "squash" and "pumpkin" seem to be used differently in different places. I know for sure that in my area (PA, USA), we'd call that a "butternut squash". I checked the wikipedia page for it and it does mention that it's called a Butternut Pumpkin or Gramma in Australia and New Zealand. Either way, it's good eating, would recommend.

Naw this is playing a semantics game, thats not in spirit of an actual chain sword. You have just made a saw.

You complain about throwing away your weapon. But ALL your attack tests /shown here) with the shield you THREW it. That's even worse than throwing away a dagger, you throw away your SHIELD FFS! So as a weapon it should be D-tier, if you use the same variables. But hey, why expect random youtubers to use logic and be persistent?

Hey Tyranth, since you like Cap's shield and the blades of chaos I would recommend you try to make the diskarmor from Rygar. It's basically a shield attached to the arm via chains.
