Spectacular performance from both, cello and corn
Rachmaninoff would have been very proud and speechless, This is a masterful performance. Perfect tempo and passion. Great pianist! Great orchestra!
oops 4:45 -- still great articulation, love the bite in his sound in this movement
horn at 5:36 is really leaning lyrical, gives a more horizontal feeling, nicely done!
superb pizz 21:09, helps to have loads of reverb in the hall
so the secret to getting the octave Ds in tune at the infamously hard polyphony in the cadenza is to the have the octave frame of the hand well established before in the even higher positions, approaching 22:12, clever and logical
At the end of the second movement it feels like all the tenderness and love a mother has for a newborn child
Turning the pain and sorrow of the human condition into sheer ecstatic beauty
Saw Kirill doing this at the BBC proms in 2012. Absolutely amazing
As a cellist, that French horn solo is the best part of this already awesome concerto
UN AIGLE VOLLE AU DESSUS
Mais Toi tu restes au sol
Now compare this Garbagekovich with Elgar...
Beautiful ❤❤❤. Ive also listened to Capucon/Gergiev, but this preformance is smoother, and seems to have more depth and passion . Bravo!!

¿Que wapo es el hombre?
The second part just hits me every time I listen. As soon as the piano starts at 11:01, I am in flood of tears. The Oboe just takes it to a different dimension. This invokes deep feeling of yearning for me which I don’t even know exists. It kind of reminds me of all the years of pain, hardships and sorrows I have endured all my life. This is truly a masterpiece and I can see why it is one of the most popular classical piece of music.
It's a succinct description of the human condition
Such a magnificent work. Especially good to see Peter Donohoe play the outrageously difficult piano part with such bravura. Cynthia Millar, as always, is the expert on the ondes Martenot part. Feel the final chord needs to go on a bit longer. Strange camera work at the end - why the long shot? Why not show us the soloists / conductor taking their well earned applause?

1:47 Fantastiskt
Absolutely magnificent Mr Bronfman!!! Better than anyone else!!!
You are the most talented celloist I've encountered! Tears...joyful tears!
Extremely gifted and passionate young artists! Thanks. I have shared these pieces so often! On my playlist! As an artist who has heard this before several times, never have I heard it played so passionately. Kudos!
Wonderful!!!
Did Gergiev really understand the message of Chosty, following to support Poutin ?
I am turkish..I love Beethoven very much.he is a genius..❤🌹❤🌹❤
Thank you for the comments😀👏🏻👍🏻
It’s very… earthy? It feels like he just unearthed this cello and is dusting the dirt off with every bow stroke. I think I like that aspect of it.
I wasn't interested to listen to very much because the opening was quite mediocre. He really needs to stop the silly arm gesticulations.
Still the BEST!

mr C. is most elegant of them all!!!

It's just great to see that Peter Donohoe can still play such difficult stuff.... There is an excellent recording of "Turangalîla" from 1986 with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Simon Rattle as conductor and P. Donohoe as pianist. The Ondes M. was then played by Tristan Murail.
👍👏👏👏
Simply Fabulous. A flawless rendition.
there is a problem on piano
If you wonder what is the artist his name is Gautier Capucon
