good video, somewhat dark. Am researching for a friend so helpful. If I may, comment(s) about engineering design by folks who used them versus just engineers who design. I have vintage Harley's, 2x1975 and 1x1964. So older. Just as kookie to work on. The joke with HD's is, you need 3 hands to work on them. Engineering design is sometimes just how things evolve and requirements change. HD out the same transmission in bikes from the 1940's to the late mid-1980's - up until 1965 adjusting the primary chain means also adjusting the rear chain - which means moving the transmission - try and get your hands in there with all the covers and doo-dads on these bikes. In some cases you are correct but when it comes to HD, I would say not. Just one rube-goldberg baling wire change after another. That said, I really like these old bikes and their nuances. So redesigning the location of the oil filter was probably considered against the cost (passed to the customer) of relocating it, the engineering changes involved (where to put it and what would be those implications), time involved, ripple impact to documentation, parts and on and on... So maybe inn the analysis, leaving as it was the best option?

There's no gasket seal, when you sanded the seal, did it seal during a pressurize?

To who ever may watch this don't touch the beveled edge of the pan or lid with sand paper or power sander!!! Clean with 0000 steel wool to just get oxidation. You'll end up with a leaky AA canner otherwise. The metal to metal seal is not very forgiving.

For sure not the way you’re supposed to do this.. you didn’t restore it, you destroyed it.. Look at the swirl marks from the sander and wire wheel.. this is not how it’s supposed to be done. All you need is oven cleaner, sos pads and brasso. All of that oxidation would have easily come off without totally tearing up the surface like that… restoration is supposed to be making it like new again.. epic fail. Sorry..

With leather holster break in best way my dad told me is wrap the gun inside two one gallon freezer bags stuff it inside the holster for a few days and it will fit use buck number 4 leather conditioner

FYI: If anybody ever asks you what to do if they have an old All American canner like I do, and what to do with the METAL safety plug, as compared to your rubber safety plug you have on your units in this video. I just got off the phone where I ordered an upgrade kit and the lady asked if I had a metal safety relief style, when I said yes, she said they do NOT make them anymore, but she said to take the toggle relief valve that I am removing and simply replace the metal safety plug and install the petcock style one into that same hole, and I am good to go. It will blow off at a lower pressure than the original metal one, but at least I don't have to throw the unit away now.

Do you have a goose neck ball in the truck? Would be easy with the turnover goose neck ball. Take the ball out of it then make it so the winch could fit in that location and be removed easy.
