If the gap isn’t there for those who are having the same issue, that’s because the primary latch is still engaged, which if you have access to a jack and some jacks, and you have the time you can pull the front undercarriage off and stick your arm from the bottom all the way to the top to release the primary latch. Then you’ll get to this step and I found it more easier to pull up the weatherstrip and then use a trim tool to pop off that little latch cover it’s not gonna fully come off, but once that’s off, then you can use a thinner flathead to turn the secondary latch

Sadly model y there’s not enough gap to get the hand in even with baby hands

Thank you for this. I am currently having the same issue and Tesla service is charging $366 just to take a look at it. I was always certain it was the camera but wasn't sure it could be easily replaced. Now I know! On to eBay!

I almost didn't watch this video because I'm doing mine with a leather replacement instead of the polka dot cloth, but the idea of using the zip ties this way IS PURE GENIUS! I'll be doing that part for sure!

looks like you skipped a step in this video, where you add the hose clamps and heat shields.

Would have been better with some commentary like the sizes you used, did you need any type of power tune after, cost of the part, where you got it etc
