Solution for MINI Key Fob Not Starting Car

Although pressing down worked for about a week, I ended up having to go to the dealer and order a new key fob. I paid $160 for the key fob without the metal key, which I kept from the old key.

Did you notice any sluggish starts before you got to this point? I was feeling kind of a fading cranking power until today. No crank, no start. I’ll give your push down method a shot. Anything to avoid another shop visit. Thanks!
My problem is similar except for my fob will allow every thing inside the cabin work but everything in the engine compart is still dead. Any advice would be helpfull.

This was helpful, thank you, for the others who is asking how it was done, here is how: You push the key fob in to the slot and than lightly press at the fob from the top by your finger and all the system comes up to live :) sorry I didnt make video but hopefully this expanation will help you.

There’s water passing through the meter. You have a leak somewhere after the meter.

Tariq Salim unfortunately for me, I ended up having to get the key replaced which cost like almost $150 since the keys are only available at the Mini dealers. Luckily it was anything serious with the car at least
