I think getting saleh back will help fred most of all like you said. as a fan watching it seemed like fred was emptying the tank each week trying to convince that side of the ball to play w/more urgency. now they have a DC who can pump guys up too. I’m excited for year 2 Mustapha and Green under a Saleh defense. and I think he’ll love dmo too. I look forward to seeing how they fix the holes in defense via FA and the draft.

You are right the 49ers defense really does need Rob Saleh back, the players feed off of his high energy and passion. That with a strong draft again this year, will bring us back to where we need to be.

What a delight you are Jennifer! Be careful of Florida Man when you're down there in Orlando. Those people have been energized in the current environment.

We were 💯% going through a Super Bowl hangover. Nothing felt right from the beginning of the season. We were still licking wounds emotionally & psychologically especially for the guys that were here for the first SB loss to the Chiefs. Then Pearsall goes and gets himself shot, Aiyuk’s holdout, Trent’s hold-in, McCaffery’s Achilles Tendonitis - Then the season starts. Boom, injuries. And the wheels started falling off more and more from there. Next season will be very different, the emotional & psychological wounds will have had more time to heal, guys will get healthy and the return of Coach Saleh I’m betting has already raised some spirits- it has for me 😊 Although I’d really like him to take a page out of Spagnuolo’s book and have 3 or 4 different blitz looks he can call 😅 Anyway, I’m hopeful for next season, things are already starting to feel lighter. Let’s keep it that way, at least for a while…go 9ers. Thanks again JLC 🤗

Thanks for the update, the 49ers have used several draft picks trying to find a back up TE so resigning the solid one they have is probably the best idea. As for the SB matchup I will just quote CMC "I hope they both loose". Other than that I think the one thing in the draft and free agency the defense and special teams both need speed and emotional lifts

I would say Trey Smith to replace Burford. -Khalil Mack opposite Bosa and possibly DJ Reed (jets) to keep working with Saleh.

The Jets Special Teams ranked a lot lower than the 49ers in 2024. It all boils down to between Moody’s ears, and better tackling.

Mason's good...but so is Guerendo. Patrick Taylor looked the part in game 17. Would also like to see Abanikanda get some action...he got a few meager carries w/Jets. I saw some footage of him with Pitt in college. He was tough, quick & explosive.

Eagles must win the SB...not because I'm a Philly fan but we won't be able to stand a 3-peat. Trust me on that.

Jennifer, you're the most interesting (and the most beautiful) person in sports broadcasting. Not just in the Bay Area but nationally. Don't even know if I'll bother watching the Super Bowl. I hate both teams. I can't get the taste out of my mouth from when the 49ers went out to play Philly a couple of years ago in the NFC championship. It wasn't that we lost or that Brock Purdy got hurt. It's the trashy way that the Eagles' fans treated our fans. I might be the only 49ers fan who thinks this way, but I would be happy if they invited Jake Moody back for another chance. Hate to be so superstitious, but I just felt that the whole team was jinxed this year, and hopefully the awful curse will be removed by next season!

I hope that Kyle and Lynch will listen to Saleh and SP coach on players to be drafted or acquired in FA. Quickness and speed are really important. Look at top 5 teams and their personnel. Niners have a lot of work to do to catch up to Eagles, Lions, Packers, Rams, Seahawks, Bills, and especially the Chiefs!😊

We need Dre. Hopefully some competition tightens up Moody. Wish has been great but 3 million for a punter is outrageous. I can't root for the birds but I can root for Saquon. He's a good dude and one hell of a football player. Go Saquon.

Getting Dre back is a must. The new special teams coach seems to be solid and we need some leadership in that department. I am not watching the Super Bowl, have no interest in it whatsoever.

That high ankle sprain had a greater affect on Jake than even I think he realizes. I’m a fan of bringing in another kicker to raise the stakes on him and the earning of the position. However, I still think he’s the guy for the job. Unpopular opinion to be sure 😅 Thanks JLC!
