What the fuck, instead of using Piercing Fang as a homage to Yura, I could've just cheesed Malenia with Giant Hunt like I always do with every NPC battle, it's that easy? I could've just used my favorite ash of war and put her into an infinite stun lock? Wow...

Ill get her to phase 2 and immediately die. Them take an hour to get back to phase 2 again. The strat works i just cant execute it well enough. Thanks anyway.

Just tried this on RL1 after being stuck on Malenia for 10+ hours. Took a few tries to learn the timing and my run wasn't as clean but carried me through! 😎

thank god my rl1 is done. It was tedious asf thank you for saving me hours of free time

fast roll or mid?

Nice strategy. It took me fair amount of tries only because I am stupid and was using charged R1 instead of regular. In first phase it's not big deal but in 2nd she can stand up fast enough to gain hyper armor. At the end she used scarlet aeonia with hp close to single digit (I couldn't even see hp bar). I recommend to use some buffs to deal more dmg but overall it's fantastic build, probably not only for rl1.

So just spent like 3 hours trying to beat her finally gave up tried this and did it first try

Her 2nd phase wasn't consistent 100% with this strat so I did some minor tweaks by rebuffing before ending her phase 1, theres some risk involved on rebuffing but if know how to avoid and counter her moves it totally pays off, thank you for this video! Keep it up!

I beat malenia at 5th tries using lions claw and that ash of war on my first playthrough But as a souls player i felt like i cheesed her And so i punished myself and fought her on second using straight sword Idk how many tries i get But it was worth it

This is an incredible stunlock combo. You helped me defeat Melania in a few tries. Incredible video, thanks. For anyone who's not level one, this strat makes the fight pretty easy because you won't die if she kicks you in phase 2 (you just need another setup). It's far from a guaranteed kill because of the kick RNG, but it's still a lot of damage onto her even when she kicks you.

Bro did a no hit, no dodge, no mercy run all at once on the hardest boss.. damn!

I really recommend another build for flamberge that I used Infused it with Cold and double slash ash of war, i could frostbite her with 3 hits using the ash of war and sometimes its happened in the same hit that it applied Bleed during the fight, causing immense damage at once, for talisman i used Rotten Sword insignia, Turtle talisman, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman and the last one is up to you, but I used a Ritual sword talisman for health and more stamina

Great strat, I tried using 2 sleep pots in phase 2 to guarantee the first giant hunt but it somehow misses her sometimes probably due to elevation.

It’s simple, really. With just medium roll: Run away from the first flurry and dodge away from the second. Dodge into her for the third, and to the side (either side works, but my preference is right side) for the 4th flurry. This knowledge only comes from bullsh*t bloodborne hitboxes, or what I like to call, BBH.
