Thanks. I don't actually have anything to do with Amway myself, I just found this tape.

It's just a matter of what tapes I have, and then the time & motivation to capture and process(for better quality) them. I haven't watched any lately, but I don't think any of the tapes I've looked at so far are from 1999. The majority of tapes I have don't have the date marked on them so I don't know until I watch them - even then it can take some time to figure out the year from what's shown.

I found it among other tapes that I bought at a charity shop, from memory. It's a minor fluke that it even ended up here in NZ, presumably somebody moved here & brought their tapes. Unfortunately the large majority of tapes I've picked up have nothing interesting on them that isn't already available online or on DVD etc, aside from sometimes the commercials. Likewise I miss these types of shows, but I don't think they'd ever be the same even if they were put back on air, so much has changed since.

That has no relation to this video. The government didn't demolish this building, and people are not afraid of "demolition by the Government" here. Likewise it is not near a lake and is several km from a river. People are more concerned about living in such places due to obvious natural risks, though people continue to do so anyway, and house values are typically high in such places.

Yeah, it's a common myth. edit: I'd forgotten, someone made a fake image showing the supposed "original" text, and ever since then people just kept repeating the fake phrase without having seen the actual movie text.

That's much less safe (to people and nearby properties), that's why demolitions regularly start at the top, taking as little off as possible each time. If they didn't want/need to be careful they could've knocked it down in no time.

I'm not sure what you mean, but the description details why it was demolished and has a link to a photo of the new church built in it's place.

I'd assumed the short lines were just part of the blanking data, I would've cropped them off if I was recording a normal video. From memory I think I recorded this on a Panasonic terrestrial HD DVR that also has analog inputs.

@@DoubleMonoLR I only had SD DVD recorders from Panasonic that didn't produce any dots. If it was a time code or video text, the dots would have to move.

Aside from the other parts from this set of 6, I don't have any more sorry. I had bought some tapes here in NZ, and this Australian tape was in that lot. I'm glad you enjoyed this one though :)

Read the description, instead of looking for excuses to hate something, and endlessly repeating the same "popular" bigotry. There's little doubt none of you even believe it anyway, churches are never demolished to make room for a mosque, but predictably the same drivel is trotted out over & over again. It's always the same with every hate group, if any video has a popular target in it, you can predict the repeated comments before even looking. It's also comically ridiculous in this case - aside from being replaced by a brand new church, and having the catholic school next to it, it's in a tiny town with 2 other churches, and no other religions. NZ's only terrorist attack, where 51 people were murdered, was against mosques - by an imbecile who was clearly bred by the same ignorant attitudes online. If people used the slightest objectivity or basic decency, none of this junk would exist.

And?, you find it boring, so just go elsewhere. The video is exactly what it says it is.

Yeah, it just happened to be on a tape I got from a 2nd hand store. I guess someone moved to NZ from Australia, and brought this with them. The tape was actually labelled as "MTV", so I was a bit disappointed to be honest, as I was hoping to catch more non-music elements.

Thanks, it's a pity the tv reception when it was recorded seems to have been a bit poor, which limits how good it could've been.

Yeah, it's surprising how melodic it got at some points, though the regular rotation speed set a regular 'beat' to start with. It was just the pinch roller squeaking, it stopped after I cleaned it up.

It was painful to watch such a beautiful architectural structure being destroyed.In my city, small one-story and two-story apartment buildings built in 1880-1910 are considered architectural monuments, although their owners considered these houses temporary and planned to destroy them in 30-40 years. It is a smile of fate that these temporary houses are now considered to be of historical value. I wish you all the best and peace to your country!

Der abgebaute Turm (im Video) hat einen neoklassizistischen Stil mit orientalischen Motiven. Selbst moderne Bautechnologien können dies nicht immer reproduzieren. Ich liebe es, alte Dinge zu restaurieren, anstatt sie zu zerstören.

18 minutes is completely insignificant to the overall cost, there would've been no point in rushing and potentially causing a dangerous fall of material, etc.

I suppose it could've even been something like a Windows or other update, rather unfortunate live on air though.
