I discovered this trick when trying to connect my PS5 to my soundbar. As Sony didn't add a digital optical port on the PS5, and my soundbar only has one HDMI port, then I couldn't run the audio through my receiver when connecting my PS5 to an old 1080i projector. This is a good alternative solution if you have an audio receiver with a 3.5mm port.

Here's a few things I've noticed so far: 1. EDF 5 on PS5 that I believe is running I believe at a locked 60fps. 2. I tested splitscreen co-op. Some mild frame drops but looking good. 3. Press right on d-pad to activate mega Goku blast in Free Mode (and there's no reset if used on small buildings once). Up on d-pad to splice buildings into cubes or lift them up. Update from a year ago. It's a small update as I've been writing a book but the update sees an extension to McDonald's, the lady (Beacon of Hope), a redesign of the Waterfront square (BT tower etc) as well as the beginnings of the SSE Arena\Odyssey. Updated glass in Victoria Square to tidy it up. Hopefully by the next update, odyssey will be finished and Queens uni, ulster museum, Windsor stadi...

THIS game broke the fourth wall. Not no mans sky.
I used it to teach my children about the solar system, and how the earth is round despite the horizon appearing flat, due to its seamless transition. The game is definitely way ahead of its time. And unlike NMS, you can touch the sun. Definitely in a different league

That's due to the sheer amount of enemies on screen at any one time, and then it allows the same in split screen couch co-op

are you able to turn off resets or do you need mods for that
Mods (PC only). Note that when you do, you see why it resets. The blast cripples the entire map. The dev was asked about it and he said it couldn't be removed by a simple patch, he'd have to recode the game, so the reset is just an unchangeable part of it.

If you dash while inside a planet's atmosphere, point it at a nearby star or blackhole and you'll drill into it

@@teardownclipx, you need to unlock it after completing a certain mission. Can't remember which one. But it's assigned to the analogue stick when unlocked. I'm not sure what key it is on PC though

Wait, I can free roam in xbox?
Yes. There's 2 ways. When you get subliminal flight powers, you can traverse the whole universe and earth (if avoiding the missions on earth) which is technically free roam. If you complete the game, you get Free Mode, which removes the city health power and you can blow up everything until your heart is content (except for the Gigaton Blast that resets the mode)
how to do on pc
I've been asked that a couple of times. I don't have the PC version but some say the d-pad on a controller trigger the effects, some say the direction keys on a keyboard while some say it doesn't work at all. This only activates in Free Mode so let me know if you get it working

I should have paid attention to the description, i combined gigaton blast and the red heat wave and my ps4 just imploded ☠️ luckily i was able to shut it off and turn it back on and the data wasn't affected

Hey man! Thank you for showing us this video. I read here that you can't use 2 specific powers or otherwise the game crashes, however you can still use other powers. That being said, does the game still reset in the free roam option if you destroy entire cities using the other normal powers or can you keep destroying other cities as long as you don't use those 2 powers?
Yeah, the game still resets :( A PC mod shows what happens if it doesn't and it literally breaks the game lol. The dev said it has to reset otherwise he'd have to recode the game. On the two powers, I found over using the duplicate cars/pedestrian power with the red bubble power can crash the game, as can combining the gigaton blast with the bubble power. Other than that, it's open season with the powers. You can also use that bubble dome power twice before it resets, which is pretty cool

@@Jaleyz not a problem at all. At its heart, the game is a crazy arcadey shooter but its endless expansion (if pointless but pretty) into the universe is captivating. It can be tough in places (and rough up close) but it's worth playing as it does some crazy stuff and is very ambitious

Some say the keyboard didn't work while others said a controller's d-pad worked. I haven't got round to testing it.

Fun Fact: In this game every celestial body that’s big enough has the same model (moons, planets, stars, blackholes etc.) And this is the only way you can die in the game. Although we don’t know what would happen if we entered a black hole in real life, the most popular ones consist of: dying(kinda obvious, although you would die before entering a stellar blackhole, -which is usually above 20 solar masses, which means 20x more massive than the sun and some people think the word massive is to measure size, it measures how much it would weigh- you could still live a while after entering a supermassive one basically just 20 million solar masses and a hyper massive one -the biggest and most massive hypermassive black hole is TON-618 with a mindblowing 60 billion solar masses which is bigger than the astronomical scale which is 50 billion-), getting transported to another universe (this might take longer to explain which I don’t look forward to), them being another universe’s boundaries INSIDE our own universe (kinda like the miniverse in Rick and Morty but without needing to be scaled smaller by a device) and lastly them being wormholes (in short, blackholes have these counterparts called “whiteholes” in this theory and they are a black hole reversed in time -I know, kind of confusing to think how time can reverse and we haven’t found a way to do it, but it is just a theory so yeah- and they teleport you to another place in the universe, possbily in time or outside the universe to another, basically theory number 2 but with more detail on how it works)

you dont die, as you know, when entering a black hole, time gets very funky and it gives the aliens enough time to destroy the planet while you are gone
@@UCNMv2 that ain’t what happened tho, even being outside the event horizon, being in the hergosphere also affects time and space. Not as much as being in the event horizon but you don’t need to be right on the event horizon to have this effect

@@Renegade-Strawberry class. It's the exploration side that blew me away but the game is not that long. Better search out the monuments in the universe. When you get to Free Mode, you can be bad superman, but flying through space and finding watery planets as well as black holes is just sublime, especially with the right chilled playlist on Spotify.
How can i have free mod with vr?
I've been asked that before. I'm not sure if you can unlock it but I don't have VR. I'd imagine if you have unlocked it in the regular version of the game, then you could switch it to VR to see if it's still unlocked. Or complete the game in VR then see if Free Mode is unlocked. Other than that, I don't have an answer I'm afraid

Ohh, I'll have to test it. There is some slow down in 2 player in the hectic areas, but even they are few.
Haha, you don't have to test it. I'lll probably get a ps5 eventually. EDF 4.1 was such a massive frame drop with air strikes (nearly unplayable), EDF 5 was a huge improvement. The real test is if PS5 does anything to EDF4...cause that game might actually be better if it didn't frame drop so badly.
Yes. I'm a big fan of EDF 4.1 and as it's framerate is uncapped, PS5 runs it at a buttery smooth 60fps. It's almost like a different game.

I've completed mission 9 and it said I beat the game but it just makes me do mission 9 over and over and I didn't get the mode at the end did I do something wrong??
Ah, forget my previous response. I didn't read your comment properly. My bad. When you beat the game, the Free Mode will appear on the main menu. See the location of the mode at the start of the video: 0:05 If it doesn't appear, then make sure you have all the latest updates installed on your platform and game then see if the mode appears in the menu.

You can't. The dev responded to the query by saying he'd have to recode the game, rather than update it. So the reset is here to stay :( Some PC mods disabled the reset, but that showed the game pretty much crashing as a result

It's real. If you clear the game and play free mode on consoles (well, tested on PS4), you can access these powers. It isn't fake, I think it's something the dev left in the game

No. It works using the d-pad on the controller. Not sure about the PC version. Just make sure, if on console, that everything is updated. Only works on Free Play after you complete the game.

I agree. Even a fully fledged sequel. I think the dev predicted around 20,000 sales and got something in the region of 200,000. Its much higher now but a game like this deserves updates. It is sad, but we can enjoy what we have.
It was only a two man development team not AAA rated. Yet it provided the closest thing to a superman VR experience that the world has ever seen.
It was mainly one man, but Sony helped him polish it off. Still a remarkable achievement

So, the strongest case seems to be 'Large turtle balloon/float'. I'll do a for and against below- For: *It's green like a turtle balloon would be *It's near a marina *It looks similar to a turtle, albeit upside-down, with the head pointing downwards and limbs poking from the sides Against: *It's moving very fast and travels in a steady, straight line without bobbling - like a solid object being propelled *The witness in the boat is looking at it through binoculars and says he 'doesn't know what he's looking at' - if it was a turtle balloon, then he'd clearly see it *People in the boat closer to the object can be heard asking what it is - they too couldn't identify it I've went from thinking this was 'very strange' to 'ah, it's a balloon' and back to thinking 'no, it's definitely something strange' lol So, I'm flip-flopping on the fence.
