It’s impressive how he continued to evolve from the Cacophony days into Megadeth. Don’t get me wrong he’s great here, but his clean improvs from the latter VHS instructionals are significantly more refined.

I saw this video very early in my guitar playing and it holds true to this very day. Half an hour to 1 hour of focused practice a day has gotten me further than any 6-8 hour sessions. It's not just about resting your hands and fingers, but resting your mind as well. Taking breaks helps you process what you learn.

People literally thinking this is not friedman. Seriously? All his solos were like this around 97-99. Mustaine played solos? Yes, he did play solos during show as well during this time BUT all of his times playing solos through these years were acompanied by the rest of the band playing a blues jam for him to follow.

Marty Friedman can literally kill other guitarists with his shredding and dash their hope of becoming a good shredder. Killing someone with guitar solo is not something even Arnold Schwarzenneger can do.

Marty has always had these lovely exotic sound so it’s strange to see and hear him play straight blues, but it sounds great!
