No Smoking--The Best Smoking Thumb Routine On The Planet
มุมมอง 1.7K14 ปีที่แล้ว
No Smoking is Puck's solution to the classic Smoking Thumb effect created by Laurel & Hardy and made popular by the late, great Fred Kaps. Puck's solution is not only amazing but nontoxic. Available at www.puckmagic.com
Not only is your performance of this trick heartwarming, touching, and tear-inducing, but your hand movements are downright elegant!
Beautiful performance
I got fooled. And moved. Great routine!
Wonderful outlook, seriously impressive. It took me decades to get over and past what all was done to me. I know the feeling of acceptance so I know how good it feels, beautiful to see it on you, sir. Beautiful performance as well ;-)
I watched this randomly on the one year anniversary of losing my dad without knowing what it was. An incredibly special performance.
seguramente penn se fue a su casa pensando en ese truco que lo hizo emocionar.... eso es algo importante
Penn's not the only one...
*Respect for you Puck*
I litterally watched this twice, just now. I'm crying alone in my dark room(in a good way). I miss my girlfriend. This is such a touching story. You're a good man, who lives a life I aspire to. I know your dad's would be proud of you sir.
This was a beautiful moment to behold. Seeing beautiful magic with a beautiful, moving story has changed my preconceptions about what you can do with magic. ❤
This was the most moving trick I’ve seen. And some of those moves making cards appear out of thin air after showing the hands were wild!
I preferred him with the dragon costume.
@@jackmartinleith 😂
Motherfucker, makin me cry.
Wow what a man..thank you so much
Teller doesn't talk while performing, obviously, but you can see the tears reflecting off his face too. What a magnificent, wonderful, touching, emotional routine and performance. Obviously every magician doing an original routine is technically doing a "personal" routine, since they came up with it, but this is the most personal magic routine I've ever seen. Truly fantastic work, Malcolm.
kinda wild to see how things were different during covid
Wonderful stuff and I can’t imagine how Teller could explain the wonder of it with a drawing. Unfortunately terrifying P & T with the bowling ball (or balloon if it was one) was ruined for tv viewers by the camera operator. Several people are saying the bars are not in line, but that cannot be the whole story otherwise Jonathan would have been able to push he ball through!
Why watch to figure it out? Why not go back to your childhood wonder and belief thst snything is possible snd allow yourselves to be amazed? I hate having magic ruined for me, it is like someone snoring during a worship service.
I want to see close up magic without the dark clothing and long sleeves. THAT would be really magical to me.
Wonderful trick, wonderful act, great job all around.
Awesome use of magical uses. Close up magic, Not so Close Up. Anytime a magician reverses the cards in their hand from flip toward you to flip away from you…it’s a set up.
Lovely comedy, lovely work.
I held it together until you said "Thankyou for the platform you've*us* as magicians" You're such a good man to share such a personal matter while also remembering so many many others and thanking P&T for what they've done for this artform. Mad respect to you.
You know, I'm pretty sure this trick largely comes down to slight of hand. Not that I could even begin to point out where the moves were, but one thing I have come to appreciate thanks to P&T is skillful performance. And this was a skillful performance. Also, a brilliant tribute. You should be proud.
Such a beautiful trick, I am in tears 😢
Very smooth then
This is why I’ve loved this show from the very beginning. You obviously have the Dani DaOrtizes who literally make you believe in the impossible but then you also have something like this which is obviously not meant to fool Penn & Teller but is just as compelling and memorable in a different way.
I'm going through some stuff with my own father right now, so I found this to be not just an example of absolute class, but very emotional as well.
Great trick.
Even if I know the mechanic of most of what you did. Being, myself, an adopted child. This routine chocked me up. RESPECT! And❤
Glad you uploaded this. I miss the shredder at the end lol.
subs! great artwork wow
I did a trick back in my high school years very similar to this trick. I understand the technique but this trick isn't about the technique, it's about the story. and that story is beautiful.
At time stamp 7:04 what happens to tellers left eye
I love at the end when the camera pulls back to reveal cheering, empty seats.
Heart strings alert!
Beautiful performance, so much class.
One of the most beautiful performances I've ever seen. Not only did you make P&T cry; I'm also very, very emotional right now. Thank you for bringing us such a beautiful moment.
Smooth, brother. Smoooooooooth.
I've just recently lost my Grandfather and this act really brought me to tears. Absolutely beautiful tribute to your dads. Just a wonderful performance ❤️
Nice little touching intro. A good redemption story is always nice on the ears. Oh, and the magic was good too!
That is one incredible voice.
Awesome job!!!

Super magic. Inspiring story. Love it.
That trick was so jazz…
The trick itself wasn't magical, so it wouldn't have been honest to give a prize here. But the story was magical, and Penn's tears are worth more than a FU trophee. This was beautiful and amazing!!
I'm crying right now! What a great routine with tons of heart. Fantastic work, sir!
Yoooo puck I loved it I would pay to watch that
Ah man you broke me 😥❤ very touching
