Chemiluminescence of Luminol (fun chemistry experiment!)
Have you observed the phenomenon of bioluminescence or "blue glittering waves" in real life? It commonly occurs among fish and jellyfish in the ocean, or when an oxidation reaction occurs in phytoplanktons to produce light.
Chemiluminescence, on the other hand, is a similar phenomenon that can be recreated in the laboratory :)

P.S. the blue colouration is due to the copper(II) ions
