I see what you are trying to convey... But kid you don't understand what the term "the American Dream" means .
Thanks for the comment mate
Wow, You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. The American dream died a long long time ago. You know it and I know it.
It's been a few years since I've been to the US. When I go again I'll make another video, see if I've changed my mind. Thanks for the comment anyhow
Can't even spell so stop yapping.
What's stopping Vietnamese from earning USD, the internet exists and it's great there
Its looking even better after trumps comment.
I couldn't believe he actually said it when I read the comment. I thought surely it was a meme or a fabricated tweet. Things have been getting crazier by the minute. But yeah, CANZUK would increase leverage from the anglo-world to mediate against excessive US influence both culturally and economically.
I feel like you do not really understand the magnitudes of cheaper. In Malaysia and Thailand for example I would argue that healthcare even when adjusted to income is cheaper than in the US. I would have to check the numbers, but I did get some healthcare in Malaysia and people that I know have tried Thailand’s healthcare. If I can avoid the US, health care system generally, I will. Because the health system seems so badly regulated and then if you want to litigate again it is so dystopically expensive. I assume you never visited the countries you mentionned. So I would stay in the circle of what you know. This does not seem to be it. It’s maybe different with rent but even then I would need some actual numbers. Also how can you call it an American dream when it only becomes real outside of it. Also I think being born in the US is not lucky, more so Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, New Zealand or maybe Netherlands or Germany, even Thailand. US seems like a bad place. I do not hate America their Hollywood marketing is just that much better than most other countries, but quality of life how I see it health, safety, working hours, social state, democratic indicators, general afforbable decent education all the before mentionned places seem much better to me.
Bang on. I spent 6 weeks in Denmark, and I asked the locals how they feel about their government. And the vast majority are content. Do they complain about high taxes at times, sure. But they said that they would not trade their current system for any other because it works for them. Instead of funding military or subsidizing oil drills, their taxes go to support the people. Healthcare, education, housing, and basic essentials. It rises the citizens to higher standards that help them excell and become successful in careers that help build the economy. A great country will have a good balance between a free market economy and social systems funded by government.
You are misinformed. Obviously the US has its issues but just look at the numbers: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disposable_household_and_per_capita_income There are many more metrics. I encourage you to look at the OECD data!
@bsouthern16 I guarantee that the "disposable income" does not include mandatory insurance coverage on basically every aspect of essential living needs in the US. Also, the fact that the US has the most residents that are part of the 1% will disproportionately set off the 99% that live here. When just a few thousand people have 90% of the wealth of any country, that will skew any chart.
Hey, thanks a lot for the comment! Overall I still think you're very lucky to be born in the US. It's been a few years since I've been so maybe next time I go I'll change my mind.
@@danrezendef It very much depends on where you are born and who your parents are to be lucky in the US. Basically, each state is like its own country. Some states have greater prosperity and opportunities than others. Someone born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, will more likely have greater opportunities in education than someone born in Detroit, Michigan.
The new American dream is to escape abroad. The US ranks at or near the bottom in every quality of life metric. The US has a higher poverty rate than china for God’s sake.
Hey, thanks a lot for watching the video! Just a friendly reminder that the setline for poverty rates changes my country. Someone below the poverty line in the USA (<$30k/year) would be considered middle class in Europe and upper class in most developed countries.
I think you're only half right. There certainly aren't many places where you can live comfortably as an average person, but the American Dream is absolutely dead. College in unaffordable, housing is unaffordable, livable wage is 2 to 3 times the minimum wage, 70% of Americans are overweight or obese, healthcare is unaffordable. There are an unimaginable number of issues we have now that we haven't ever had to this degree. The idea behind the American Dream is that you can afford to buy a house and support a family off of one income. That's been impossible for decades, and now it's nigh impossible to support yourself on your own income, and families require 2 sources of income unless the breadwinner makes a lot of money. You mention expats a lot, but It would take me forever to save the money to move, learn the language, go through the immigration process, etc. Chances are, if you can afford to move abroad, you weren't really that worse off anyway. The expat explanation takes focus away from the people who are struggling as if they're living in a third world country. The rich get richer while the poor get poorer. This is a true trend that's been happening since the Reagan Era. There are things to be grateful for, but the American Dream is certainly dead.
Man, you made some good points. Is economic prosperity really worth it if everyone is obese and unhealthy? Thanks for the contribution anyhow.
I’d love CANZUK to be implemented. I’m a Brit but feel that the other three nations aren’t foreign to me as others are, they are countries of my brethren.
I understand your feeling 100%. I think the main opponents to this might be Australians, because their better overall economy and weather might cause too much migration from other countries, which in turn would contribute to an already quite serious housing shortage.
@@danrezendefhuh? Canada and the UK have a higher GDP than Australia.

Welcome. I am Australian born and raised. I've Travelled to 137 countries and lived in 17. I cant wait to leave this country again. Living standards are high here but our freedoms are being taken away. Australia is a police state. We have too many rules and regulations. Our current government are communists. This is all new to you, but trust me, Australians are fleeing the country. I am only back here because my mother isnt well. Wishing you all the best.
Cheers mate! I feel you on the excessive taxes and regulations and rules, but believe me it's not much better elsewhere. Just out of curiosity, where would you move, out of those 137 countries you've been to?
Rather than CANZUK or even CANZUKUS where domination by one country over another is a concern, consider a union of individual states, similar to the present USA. In this instance the number of states would increase 10+6(7)+2+4+50 = 72 states with an elected head of state. Of course, some states may like to retain a monarch as a figure head, that's up to them. With regard to health care and other benefits, along with gun control these could be decided by individual states. Currently, all the proposed CANZUK nations are subservient to the USA in one way or another. The only way to change that is from within. Also, in coming together in such a union, the population has just increased by 50%, it shouldn't be called the USA anymore!
I think the US is too different from the others to ever have a union at all and even between CANZUK national governments will want to retain a good chunk of sovereignty no matter how aligned they are. Thanks for sharing your idea though!
moscow is good too
I've never been. The war's made everything harder. But I wanna go in 26

CANZUK would save Canada from Trumps bullying. CANZUK would save UK from EU meddling to try and get the UK to rejoin the EU. CANZUK would save Australia and New Zealand from China. It’s a win, win scenario but our leaders are not focusing on this right now but need to start seriously talking about it. Although, Trump would likely oppose it.
I think it would be a great possibility if done right. Thanks for the feedback!
Newsflash: all these countries were part of a British union in the past. Most of them up to WW2 were of British descent
He mentions this by saying "I don't mean this in a colonial way" and by union he clearly means like the EU not a real union where some of the countries are subservient to another.
Yeah, more reason for union I guess. Let's see what the future holds

Do you mean when you include sales taxes and stuff? Or do you mean that the data provided by the IRS regarding the proportion of income tax payed by each bracket is wrong? Thanks anyhow
the US has a "standard deduction" which reduces your taxable income by $14,600 (single). Which is mostly equivalent to saying 0% tax rate from $0 - $14,600
I was unaware, thanks for the contribution
name one person thats breathing that can live on $14,600 a year fool.
Someone can say why the USA is so poor. When you take a look at Michigan, Detroit, Washington, New York... very badly explained income and cost of life and most important quality and safety of life.
Bro, 100% agree. Safety in the USA has become insane recently, it would definitely be a factor to consider. US cities are very violent when compared to the rest of the developed world and even poorer countries in Asia. But the US still has a great wage to cost of living ratio. You make a lot of many, you have lots of opportunities, but that comes at the cost of constantly looking over your shoulder, specially in these cities you mentioned.
what an absolute nonsense, takes literally 2 clicks on google to see out of the top 20 countries only 3 is non-european when it comes to earners en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_average_wage want more breakdown? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_European_countries_by_average_wage clickbait title without evidence not going to take you very far.
Southern Europe is not poor. In fact, they are a lot richer than many northern europeans
All southern european countries (italy, greece, portugal, spain, the balkans) are poorer than all northern european countries (nordics, germany, netherlands, belgium, uk) when it comes to GDP per capita, wages and most other wealth measures. They are still great countries, but they are poorer than their northern counterparts.
@@danrezendef Southern Europeans have a lot more wealth, its just their income that is lower. Look how many Italians own a house/ home and compare that with Germany. If you cannot define poorness, dont make videos like these in the first place.
Massive cope
Arrgh...gross income != quality of life In Australia, you pretty much *NEED* to pay for a car with insurance, maintenance, fuel, maintenance. Health Insurance costs are higher. You can make less in Europe and afford a better lifestyle than pretty much all the countries you referenced.
I have lived in Italy, England, France, Australia and Canada. This is simply untrue. That is why there are thousands of europeans flooding Australia and virtually no australians going to Europe (except as tourists, of course). The quality of life in Australia is insanely high. Australians are very, very lucky. It's not perfect, but it's easily one of the best countries in the world to live in. I confortably live in Melbourne with $2500/month and make double that (at least) on a minimum wage job.
This is a terrible comparison, you are just looking at money earned and not money spent. Yes even in Northern europe we earn less then in the US or Australia, but the cost of living is far lower here. For the US, the public services are way worse there, there is not even universal health care. I do however agree that Americans and Australians can afford to travel Europe far easier then Europeans themselves because of their higher salaries.
Quality of life in Australia is definetly higher than Europe. America is debatable, depends on what you like and how you prefer to live. But Australia has pretty much all of the upsides of Europe (except the history) and very few of the downsides. It's got a good social safety net, medicare, decent public transportation but much better wages, lower taxes and better weather overall. There is a reason why 30% of australia's population is foreign born and there's a reason so much of that foreign born population comes from Europe.
I recommend to everybody to check the HDI (Human Development Index) of the UN. The Human Development Index (HDI) is a summary measure of average achievement in key dimensions of human development: a long and healthy life, being knowledgeable and having a decent standard of living. It measures the country in an average, so it is basically the chance to live a good life in that country. You cannot rank a country just from a few singular scenarios, those are only interesting for people living in the same scenario. Norway, Switzerland, USA, Germany, Hongkong, Iceland, Singapore, Denmark, Canada, Italy, France etc. etc. etc. and yes, Australia are all up there at the top, it is nitpicking to differentiate between them without a scenario. You can have a good quality of living in all of them, and you can be off poor in any of them. But all of the top 20 or top 30 are really well of for most of the population. But they are all different in how you achieve that quality. And dependent on your individual situation you might be better off in the one or the other.
nice analysis bro.. what software you are using to make such a videos. I also wants to make such videos

I am from Australia and you will definitely notice that more people at a younger age are starting their careers than some other comparative countries. I think the scale of our country gives less of a drive for us to travel as it is so far and so expensive to just leave the country.
Really? I would say the opposite: it's hard to even count how many australians there are traveling in Europe and Asia. You guys are everywhere!
Haha, well it's a big country so maybe I only think that since I'm judging the people in my city. @@danrezendef
Young people who work need to be treated with human decency
Countries like Australia and Switzerland do a great job at guaranteeing this as well, in my opinion. Anyhow, if you become skillful, you have more leverage no matter where you are.
Working isn't going to make things work. Because, right now employers have the leveraged position. The only way for employees to try and get a leveraged position is to refused to work for the current salaries. Specifically, these vocational professions don't pay enough money and even if you make enough money your body will break down very quickly and no one will be there to help you when you are not useful anymore. Have you spoken to anyone from these professions in their 40s or 50s? The problem with skills that are not useful for the workplace has a combination of sources one of them being that the higher educations institutions are fussing over word counts and grades and modules instead of skills because there's a tonne of money going around so they can afford to fuss over these things. Additionally, employers because they have the leveraged position now they just demand someone who knows everything already instead of investing into their employees and respecting them. Meaning that if all youngsters try their best to work the youngsters’ negotiating position is going to become worse because now workers are going to be more plentiful and salaries are going to go down meaning no one can get by. So in order to get experience you need to accept a very bad job offer in which a parent must support you. What if you don't have parents to support you? As you can see, when things go wrong and you don't have someone to support you you're stuck in that situation no matter if you are willing to work or not. The qualifications that are too high, are again a problem that because the employers are in a leveraged position, because the job market is shit, and therefore young people have problems with work. Not the other way around. Don't forget if there is plentiful work to be done with good enough pay those positions would have been filled already. Refer to this video as well. th-cam.com/video/fYzAWA6VZQw/w-d-xo.html
I think we are in agreement. Young people need to work, but for that to happen a lot of structural change in how we view education has to happen.
Great video brother, keep going
Thanks brother, you have no idea how important how these feedbacks are
In my view of languages, though leftist ideas came from France. Also, Quebec is the most leftist and rightist province in Canada and Western Switzerland pays more taxes. Languages are naturally neither left-wing nor right-wing. Only the speakers and their societies are either of those. If 25% of English is from the French Language, so is the English language left-wing too? Yea I may show my view, but it's still an interesting video
It's definitely a correlation but the root cause is unknown I guess. I'm glad you liked the video
I'm French and I'm a leftist, so basically seems to check out 100%
Yeah but do you think it has to do with the language itself or with the politics of the country? Or maybe with something else? I'm eager to know what you think.
@@danrezendef Well for me personally it was ingrained in me by my parents and by the public school system, where very young we are taught about the Revolution in a positive light. I don't know. I don't think it's the language because actually a lot of French aren't leftist at all, there are like 10% of Trump supporters even lol. So I dunno.
French is left-wing? Wtf I love French even more now
**laughs in croissant**
Regarding "More left French thinkers, there culture was influenced": almost nothing above the chemistry level has a simple "cause-effect" relationship. It's almost always bidirectional to some extent (this doesn't mean the weighting is necessarily 50:50). In this example, I would turn the tables around and say the cause is to a certain degree rather that already left-leaning societies will produce thinkers that then espouse left viewpoints. They are then just a reflection, rather than a cause. However, they then of course also become a cause. As said, it's bidirectional, accumulative, and to a certain extent a feedback loop. (It's not an infinite feedback loop -- it approaches an asymptote) You might also be interested in Emanuel Todd's family system models, which might explain some things.
100% agree with you on this. Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? I guess it's an eternal loop. But it makes me wonder if there is something about the structure of the language itself.
Interesting take! I like pondering odd questions like this as well :) Belgium actually kinda shows the inverse, in my opinion. This has more to do with economic separations of dutch and french speaking areas than with the language itself, I think, but those things are highly interwoven. But if my impression is correct, the french part is more conservative leaning. This would align with the fact that Flanders is much more economically prosperous and diverse than are their french speaking southern countrimen. Cause / effect <--> direction? Also, France itself has had its fair share of rightwing and fascist language going on.. supposedly they spoke some sort of French. I suppose maybe there are significant differences in subsets of a language. The question then becomes: if you create a subset of french, in which either different words are used or in which words have different meanings, is it still the same language? I see the co-incidence you see, french speaking areas generally competing on liberal views as well, but I think they are just that: coicidence, with no direct cause and effect, but with a lot of threads connecting one to the other. I don't think French offers linguistic tools advantaging liberalism to such a degree that it matters. No more than other languages, at any rate. Still, it was nice to think about this. Thanks! edit: maybe i should've finished the video first. We turn out to be in agreement Like the final analysis :)
Totally agree! In the end it's all speculation and impossible to know for sure. I mostly just made the video to see what other people think, because I myself don't have a fixed view on this. You could also say the opposite about the german language (tending more torwards a type of "organized collectivism") and the english language (tending more torwards a "liberatarian individualism"). You can see how german speaking countries are more methodic, procedural so to say. Whereas even left of center english speaking countries (like canada or nz) have more open economies and proportionally lower taxes when compared to Europe.
@@danrezendef haha German is an excellent language for instruction manuals and other unambigious technical writing, this is true. Yeah, on having put a bit more thought into this I'm leaning towards there being more than enough merit to the original position than I gave it credit for. I'll probably think on it some more.
