Hello! I'm Jacob and on this channel, I make stuff. That's about it. All things scale modeling, wargaming, RPGs etc.
Painting My Frostgrave Terrain Board
Detailing this table took me FOREVER, but I will do anything for Frostgrave. Or DnD or Warhammer for that matter.

Really solid work. You've got a table to be proud of!
Thanks man. Are you looking to make your own terrain board?
6:44 FORBIDDEN MILK 🥴
bro fr
DO NOT DRINK IT
Love it!
This is amazing
Great job !!!
Really awesome board!!! 😊
I've never played Frostgrave before but this looks amazing! Good work :)
Thanks man. Do you want to learn frostgrave? It's an amazing game.
Loved this brother 🔥👍❤️
Great looking board! I think your flock turned out great, but I too am never a huge fan of the bright green colours you can get from it, so what I do when I'm flocking is put down a more yellowish colour first, and then, while the glue is still wet, I add my green a little lighter than I normally would and it ends up looking more natural (to me anyway). The only issue with it is that any flock you knock off will now be mixed, but I just keep it in another container and use that on top of the green when I want an area that looks a little less healthy grass-wise.
Honestly an amazing idea. That is some next level crafting. I am not too satisfied with the flock either, and I might go back in and try for some variance in color and texture.
Nice!
incredible!
Thanks, Trent! It's great to see you found my channel. You've been killing it recently! Great work with all the new videos.
Neat video man!
It looks great ! Loved the poster idea to add some easy scale and extra details
Audio leveling needs work
Why would you want to mess with your players? This is horrible
No no, as someone who has been both player and dm for dnd, this is fair
Thank you. At least someone understands
The making of a truly legendary session
Love the close up shots and the paint color choice.
I learn a lot from you.
This was really interesting. I would like to read at least one of them sometime soon.
Casual style and honest intro appreciated.
Love the tool for cutting the foam quickly.
Awesome video man.
Thanks for sharing this with us. Well done sir.
No problem. What was your favorite part
I have the same one
Congratulations 😊
Best video I’ve seen in a long time
Of course
Salt and melted butter
Dude you need a vise really bad
Was it green when you started? My last attempt at working green wood resulted in an epic split. I've taken to drying pieces slowly in my basement until they're ready to carve. I really want to try a ladle now!
It was totally green when I started. It had been on the tree less that 8 hours before. Somehow I seemed to have avoided any splitting at all.
You gotta get better knives man, morakniv 106 and 120 are really good for whittling (and really cheap).
I'll check them out!
Woodcarving is such a rewarding passtime, have you tried using a Japanese kiridashi for carving yet?
No, I haven't. Tell me about it!
Very cool
You are an inspiration!
@WilliamRodricks thank you. You win #1 fan award
Interesting video. Thanks for sharing 😊
Bro, we should play together sometime. You are brilliant
Well done! I'm a DM of nearly 25 years and I run an always-open, online table, a weekly voice table, a monthly in-person table, a kids table (whenever they all want to play at the same time), and then I guest-DM for my local cosplay guild when their DM is sick or needs a break. Prep does NOT have to take a whole week to do. Honestly, I often do it a few hours before session - my brain is always working; it's just getting those details into the physical format so that I can pass them on to the players that requires the transfer. You did great. Adding a sub so I can keep track of your DM progress <3
Dude… that’s insanely impressive. I could not handle that many games 💀
You know… a tavern hidden in the underworld… Ima use that
Steal like an artist brother 🫡
Thank you so much for that perspective. I myself have worked out a lot of sessions in the hours before so seeing the raw kind of process is actually really inspiring to me. Also your island model is something I have seen people try to describe a lot before, but you really narrowed it down well and I think thinking about my campaign in that way might help me out with some of my struggles in prep. So thank you for sharing those insights!
No problem man. Just figured I'd throw in my 2 cents. After all I am a master crammer.
Gotta say.... turn down the background music.
Cool!
you smart for this one
This is awesome. Good job, man!
Very good for first time. Looks great. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Love the French cleats idea. Thanks for sharing this with us.
This is rad!
The terrain in this video was all 3d prints put together?
Yeah it is. They're all from the Hagglethorn Hollow Kickstarter.
Love finding hobby channels to follow on the home page!
Thanks for sharing!
If you pre drill where you want to put screws, with a bit slightly smaller than the screw. It will stop the wood from cracking. To keep the bit from going too deep, put a flag of tape around the bit at the stop point. You can drill till it hits the tape and it won't go deeper.
Smart man I’ll have to try that out.
@adventurecraftterrain it's a common trick used in cabinet making and general wood working/contracting. Have used it for years just doing my random fixes and projects as they come up.
Thanks for sharing. Great job.
Try adding voice over or editing more. There is a lot of b roll footage being used alone in this. Hard to be interested with no concept of each step Also glamor shots at the end are always appreciated
