    I just wanna let you know that I'm really enjoying these series and have made my experience of Physics studying prob 100x, or even 1000x smoother. As someone with no Physics background , these r so digestible and comprehensive. THANK YOU!!! Would you say these are enough to know for the MCAT? I know UWorld and Kaplan tend to go into more detail but I find them overwhelming and very time consuming

    • @acethemcat
      @acethemcat หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! Yes I think this could be enough, but you're probably gonna want to dip into some of those other resources especially if you have time! There's definitely some other material tested that I haven't covered, but it's all very low yield and not necessarily worth your time. So use your judgement with those other resources to see where it's best to allocate your time! Hope that helps!

    Hi Abdulla, I am highly interested in purchasing your course. Could you please clear up some questions I had. Would your content be beneficial to someone like me who did not do too well in the premed courses or would I need a more though-rough in depth review? My last question is that I also purchased U-world and I was wondering would your MCAT science courses prepare me to tackle the notorious difficult questions on Uworld and AAMC section banks? Thanks you.

    • @acethemcat
      @acethemcat หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry, I just saw this! I would say if your science knowledge is really rusty you're probably going to need to rely on other stuff in addition to my courses. I try to start at a pretty basic level, and I don't really assume that you have any prior knowledge, but I also do go through stuff a bit quickly. I've had non-traditional students tell me they used my courses almost as a substitute for their pre-med classes, but I think most students also need to use additional resources to help them learn the science stuff, and this is especially true if you're learning stuff from scratch. As for your other question, I've designed my courses to give you the background knowledge necessary for AAMC's tests and practice questions, but not for UWorld. I personally feel that UWorld questions go deeper into content than is necessary, and that can make students study more material than they need. Once again, sorry for replying late! Let me know if you have any other questions, and please also feel free to shoot me an email (admin@acethemcat.com), and we can discuss more!

    For practice questions do you recommend doing outside sources for the mcat or just go straight into AAMC written material

    • @acethemcat
      @acethemcat 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question! In general, I'd recommend using AAMC materials as much as possible, and if necessary going through the questions/exams twice even! They've also got so much material at this point that if you really take the time to review them afterward, you probably won't run out of practice stuff. But I don't think it's a bad idea to occasionally use non-AAMC stuff. If you're just starting out and you wanna get a feel for the test in general, it's ok to do an outside company's exam (most companies offer a free exam, so just do that.) It's subjective and it's up to you, but the key thing is to make sure you're getting through all the AAMC material before your exam!

  • @Ihopeitsnottoobig

    So when it comes to work, is it that you calculate what direction of resistance you are overcoming (or what force you need to apply in a certain direction). In other words, in your example if you started walking with the box suspended in the air, you are doing zero work in the vertical direction, but would be applying some amount of work in the horizontal direction? Or would it still be considered zero because you aren't overcoming any resistance in the horizontal direction besides neglible air resistance?

    • @acethemcat
      @acethemcat 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes that's exactly it! You're not technically applying a force on the box in the horizontal direction, other than negligibly to combat air resistance.

    What percent of biochem questions would you say involve the metabolic pathways out of all the biochem questions?

    • @acethemcat
      @acethemcat 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry, just saw this comment! It's hard to say. I go over this a bit in my biochem course, but there are about 30 or so biochem questions per exam, split between the two science sections. Of those, I estimate about 10 of them (1/3) will cover metabolism concepts, but I count that very broadly, to include metabolic regulation, and carbs/lipids, and things like that. You can see my list of lessons on this page here: www.acethemcat.com/biochemcourse In terms of the detailed metabolic pathways and stuff like that, I estimate maybe about 1-2 questions per exam on average might ask about those. Even then, I think you can usually get those questions by knowing metabolism at a broader level. But just in case, I also include a set of 4 more detailed lectures on the pathways of metabolism in that course. Though again, I don't recommend you spend too much time studying them in detail for the MCAT, there are almost certainly better uses of your time than that :) Good luck!

    I took the mcat and scored 519. Trust me when this guy says that his course covers most. Physics for me was the most boring subject to study, I mean who wants to sit there and read 300pages out of a Kaplan book especially when physics makes up such a low % of the MCAT? I know I didn’t. So I spent my time studying physics by watching TH-cam. If you watch these videos and can CONCEPTUALLY apply them with passages and what not, you are chilling for the MCAT.

    • @HelpMeStepfish
      @HelpMeStepfish ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thefreshest9493 Will you be able to ACE the physics section with just his videos? No. But you can get 75-85% correct with his videos. Again, if you can CONCEPTUALLY understand the formulas. You pretty much understand physics lol Kaplan gives you way too many formulas to know, it's absurd because physics is such a low %. My tips, focus on psych, socio, and CARS. You can get most bio questions right with little bio background because the entire bio questions are passage based. So if you understand the passage you can get the questions right.

      I'm not familiar with Chad's prep, but I'm sure he's good! Different teachers are going to have different teaching styles, so it's probably a matter of personal preference. My physics course is free, so I'd recommend you try it and see if you like the style of my lessons. Then, let me know what you think!
