You make me feel like a villager, Ive not heard of most of these places! I tend to stay round my ends in Tema and Sakumono - Rose Gardens and Fridays are particular favourites! Buka is the only place where I ever left hungry, portions were not generous. Pinocchio ice-cream fabulous. I think another video on breakfast/brunch spots would be welcome. Less bougie and just great food. I love Starbites, Labone Coffee Shop and Kukun. All cheap and cheerful. Have you tried Champion Dishes on Kojo Thompson? Zero flash, not Instagramable, but the food is soooo good. ❤

Hi hannah. Do you do child friendly tours please? Or is it mostly big walks and bars? Also, my mother is a wheelchair user and its difficult iutside of Tema/ Accra to find accessible places. Thanks.

Just discovered your channel. I lived and worked in Sao Tome for three years as a supervisor/manager at the VOA Station. (At night you will see the many red lights from the tall antenna towers). Maybe art/touristic stuff is seen as a luxury in African countries (people who live there 24/7), they prioritize making money more for living necessities since the system is not as favorable as for example in Europe if you don’t have money…and to be honest our parents/ancestors never really saw having a passion for something as a thing you can freely pursue…since once again they’ll give you a pep talk on if it will bring food to the table…it’s a never ending circle that leads back to lack of opportunities/jobs/stability/financial support from the government etc in our countries, which is sad, because there are soo many talented people with amazing ideas, but no opportunities 😪

I think there’s a small group of ppl that understand the art culture. Ppl are definitely buying art but I just don’t think it’s done for the masses. Cuz u go to art center and ppl buy a lot from there but it’s not the everyday Ghanaian that care about it
