Have you tried the momcozy s12? I wanted to try the same pump as you since I have elastic nipples as well but it's not available anymore. So I was wondering if the tunnel is as long as the one in the pump you're using it in this video?

I just started and, as someone who took their donut pillow to a hospital, I was told by a midwife its not a good idea to use it cause it puts strains on your stitches and can stretch them out. That being said. I’m for sure taking some sort of pillow to sit on this time around as well cause it does make a difference. Just not one with a whole in a middle.

Torturing yourself with a natural child birth doesn’t make you or your baby any healthier! Epidurals are a life saver for first pregnancy’s which progress slower and make you exhausted and overwhelmed. I can’t believe society still makes moms feel guilty for being pain free.

Maybe this applies in other countries, here in South Africa, you literally need to buy yourself everything. Our public hospitals are in bad conditions for both workers and patients, let alone babies. Our public hospitals are over crowded. You can give birth today and tomorrow you are on the floor with your baby because there are not enough beds. I don't wanna go to the one of getting infections and children dying in hours after birth with no explanation. I wish we were able to do home births rather than being in hospitals. The situation here is depressing. I've seen myself going through PTSD without even knowing.

First time mom here. My son is 6 weeks old today 🥺 Our breastfeeding journey was rough and short lived I’m sad to say. We had lots of issues but the biggest was weight gain for my son. I was using the Haakaa religiously every time I nursed him and I was also able to get a pretty good freezer stash in the beginning. What I didn’t know until we saw a lactation consultant was that I was taking milk away from him before he got to it. So all that milk I was able to store up was actually supposed to be going to him, not just extra let down that would’ve been wasted. I’m not sure if it’s well known that you don’t use the Haakaa on the side baby hasn’t gotten to yet, or if that’s not usually an issue with other women. I was having a supply issue on top of it so it could’ve just been an issue for us. I did suction it on pretty well to my breast to extract more (that’s how I saw another lactation consultant using it on TH-cam. You squeeze the reservoir area, flip the flange back and put it on that way). I’m not sure if that’s how you are supposed to put it on that way. My thinking was if I was “taking that milk away” then my body would think I needed more. Clearly it was an issue for my son and I. So basically my comment is just to say I did love the Haakaa while I used it, but I kind of starved my son without realizing it. I think it’s a great product just make sure you are using it properly and don’t be a silly lady like me. Like I said I’m a new mom and we are trying our best over here!!
