Do You Need Mirrorless for Wildlife? Z8 Field Test in the Wild.
DSLR or Mirrorless? I rented the Z8 to test it directly in the wild. Rather than comparing specifications, I focused on seeing how it performs in the challenging conditions I typically seek out.

POV Photography - Finding Dippers and Deers || Week in a life of a WILDLIFE photographer
I combined the last couple of days into this short montage, and I finally managed to get a nice shot of a Eurasian Dipper, which I’ve been wanting to capture for a long time. They are a bit tricky to photograph because they often avoid people and land just above the water, so you need to lie down in the mud to get your camera at their eye level. But with enough patience and uncomfortable positi...

Today, I ventured into a local swamp armed with my 105mm F1.4 lens, delving deep to capture stunning images of flowers. The remarkable F1.4 aperture, coupled with my full-frame sensor, allows me to produce photos with exquisite bokeh, which, when composed correctly, adds an unparalleled allure to the images. Early cold morning with beautiful COMMON KINGFISHER and DUCKS- Relaxing POV Wildlife Photography
Hey, thanks for sharing this video 🙏 I enjoyed learning about the Kingfishers and also about the process of "hunting" for Kingfishers 🙂 The videos of Kingfishers looked great - I wonder if these were taken with same Nikon D4s + 200-500mm lens seen in the video?
Amazing
Beautiful photo well-edited new subscriber, 👍
Thanks I really appreciate it.
I'm using a DSLR, but I realized that if i want to capture the moment a bird jumps or hunts, the fast shooting speed of a mirrorless camera greatly increases chances of success.
Great Photos!
Thank you!
Great vid ! do you still recommand the 200-500mm in 2024 ?
Thanks, yes of course, it is a cheap lens that really does a great job.
which tent is it?
Tragopan V7
Hello, interesting pictures, what kind of tent did you take the photos in? ?
Ahoj, diky, stan sa vola Tragopan v7.
Beautiful
for mirrorless I use external power bank. the price:watt-hours ratio is uncomperable to buying expensive batteries . I can run it from my backpack to the camera or attach to a tripod. it's nice to see your conclusion at the end and I agree. And I would also like to add, that some of the improvements that you observed were not about dslr vs mirrorless only, but about multiple generations of camera development. Had you been comparing D850 to z8, you would see fewer major improvements (tilting screen for example. usable touch screen, silent shooting..). Had you been comparing to a less high level mirrorless with a reasonable price tag - you would see even less major improvements.
Súhlasím, to ma ani nepadlo použiť externú baterku, určite skúsim ked budem mat znova možnosť fotiť so Ztkom.
Thanks, maybe if you tried the z6iii instead of z6ii you would like it more.
Great photos and videos! I love king fishers! I never tried the hide. Is it worth the investment?
Oh yes, this hide was one of my best investments for birds photography. Birds dont have any problems with staying near me while I am in the hide(kingfishers, tits, nuthatches...), once I go out they keep a larger distance.
Great stuf bro, I wish you could have shown a little mercy towards poor lens without drenching it in rain. lol
Heyy nice video bro keep it up and i have a qwestion is that a dji head band ur using or what i cant vind it enywere
thanks a lot bro, it is a head band but not from a DJI, I found cheap package that contained lots of stuff for sports cameras and it also contained the head band and also a torso band. Try searching for Sports camera set or something like that, I dont remember where I got it from.
@@AdamSadlonPhotography thankyou for your reply i just order one from amazone they say its for gopro but i still try it and if it dont work i just send it back 👍
Spoko materiał.
Great photos, good gear only enhance chances to get great photos in extreme conditions. You need with z8 - z 180-600 mm lens.
Increasing the price on the z 180-600mm by $200 US was not a smart move by Nikon. I will continue to use my Trusty Nikon 200-500mm for years to come. For early morning and early dawn captures will be using the Sigma 500mm F4 Sport. Both lenses have paired well with my D850 and Z9. Most of my captures have been with the D850. The Z9 is pretty much a D850 on steroids when it comes to FPS, especially for video, where DSLR's are pretty much useless. And the Z9 battery is fantastic, bought a spare just in case, but never had a need for it on the field, since the battery can last pretty much all day with heavy shooting.
Very nice 👍 great photos, thx for sharing
Just discovered your video. Absolutely Phenomenal Work. Looks amazing on my 85” TV & the bird looks amazing. Im getting into wildlife photography & this only motivated me to do more & practice more. You have a new subscriber!
Love to hear it, thank you very much.
Adam, This is a great video and amazing encounters. Great work.
Many thanks!
It's amazing how close you get to them. I consider myself good at photography but I suck at approaching wildlife. Need to learn a lot!
I always say that you should not approach wildlife but let wildlife approach you. That works for me and I can get my subject really close to my lens. I look for patterns in their behaviour and then I pick a spot for waiting and then its just a waiting game.
This is beautiful. Nature x AURORA (Heaven)
Great encounter 🦌
This was AMAZING, I’m going to get a canon eos r100 and I CANT WAIT to start taking pictures of birds, animals, plants etc. I can’t stop watching your videos
Thank you, it is an amazing hobby you will love it.
Parádne video👌

❤ Best wildlife short experience thank you great work ....thanks bro
Glad you enjoyed it
@AdamSadlonPhotography god bless you bro
@@AdamSadlonPhotography To hej.
Perfect
Bro the first shot was soo beautiful🤩!! Love your work!🔥
Thanks a lot man✋️✋️
Wow!
soo nice video :D thanks for the editing tips:D im gonna test them my self next time i shoot a photo of an animal :D
You are welcome.
Hi, Adam can l ask you please do you often shoot in single shot mode?
Nikon d4s has a loud shutter, so I use single quiet shot mode while photographing mammals because they get startled by the loud shutter. But when I am photographing birds I use continuous mode, they don't really care about that loud noise, you just have to be well hidden.
Excellent video!
So nice to see you get great shots with an older set up, just proves you don’t need expensive gear thanks!
Well I am planning on upgrading in the future, but yes you are right. The best camera is the one you have at moment and it doesn't matter if it is old or new, what matters is how you handle it.
Beautiful ! You need camera with silent shutter.
@irbis8801 Thank you, yes that would be a good upgrade but the price is not beautiful 😃
If you want z9 - it’s expensive))
Absolutely an amazing encounter. WOW....
what blind r you using? great video. my husband has been tracking belted kingfishers and i would like to get him a blind for our anniversary.
@sarahgrassi9648 it called Tragopan V7. Really useful for Kingfisher photography.
