I loved doing injectors on my VR ute. It had the Buick so much more straightforward to change injectors. Only had to undo fuel rail and that's it

Bearing fell apart too. I put about half the bearings balls back in and now it squeaks. Gonna replace my strut tops aswell as dust covers. This is after I put lowered springs in. Wish me luck with my cheap eBay shit 😂

EB GT came in 5.0 Windsor . It was meant to be 220 kilowatts but Holdens said its under 200 Kilowatts.
When you got the ignition switch, housing fixed, did the ICC screen ever blank out on you? Like radio and aircon, etc, all work, but the screen goes black because that's what happened to mine. Also, did you ever need to replace the 20amp ignition switch fuse in the engine bay, too?

Bro, I'm glad you got the old Ghia fired up once again it's kinda sad you have to sell it asap. It would've made a great wedding car.
I, too, had the ignition play up on me, and while I was interstate. I don't believe that it is the barrel itself, but rather, the ignition switch housing on the other side of the steering column the wiring harness just literally falls out of the housing because it's only held on by some really flimsy folded tabs that bend out over time from use, so you need to reassemble it and probably replace the ignition switch fuse in the engine bay 20amp from memory hopefully it helps.
Yeah just bought the tool to fix it, I also had a BA xr6 a couple years ago and it did the same thing
@lockstompandsteer Yeah well luckily it's quite a simple fix. However, it can just happen literally without any warning and render the car completely inoperable when it does let go.

Always use lubricants that are non petroleum based. I always use bendix high temp grease for all rubber components.
Some fkn knucklehead know jockey put the plugs in the vr senator I just bought and one was finger loose and others he must've put and used an extension bar.. some priks.

Ve/vf rear springs suck mate. You got so lucky with the first side, normally both sides suck. Awesome job getting it done by yourself, there's a trick to getting the bolt lined up on BOTH sides of the control arm. Up side of this design is no springs fall out like back in the day

vt-vx rear springs are like 45 minute job i think u under estimated how much harder they are on ve haha
Less than that when you can jump on the lower control arm and swap them out in 1 minute 😂
@@lockstompandsteer yeah haha that is true, the way the ve are designed in the rear is different but also better you can fit much wider wheels so i reckon it’s worth the effort

Did you end up doing much else with this VL wags? I got a r31 Wagon with a VLT engine, so much wiring is cooked on mine, gives me issues quite alot. I had similar issue as you but turned out being no power getting to my CAS plug

what happens when cops pull a p plater driving a modified commodore? only mild mods like an exhaust and a cold air intake? Any demerit points or just straight defect for the mods? I am in Victoria and im wanting to put those upgrades on my VS commy
Not sure about Victoria, but an exhaust system had to be less than about 91DB, have cat converters and at least 1 muffler. Cold air intake has to be enclosed or an OTR like VCM and similar companies. So would be defect and points if these rules aren’t followed
@@lockstompandsteer Cheers. I have a redback system with resi. these exhausts look pretty stock and dont sound too loud when driving normally. redback system waiting to go on and a Mace airbox. reckon I should be fine? the mace airbox I have has a clear lid
@Anthony-fq9ct clear air box is fine because that’s enclosed, as long as your exhaust is below the DB reading for your state you will be okay
