Thanks for the question, Robbie! Basements are VERY RARE here in “The Lowcountry”. The land is so flat & the water table is so high that it’s difficult & not advisable to build a basement here. I have seen some workshop-like basements, but they’re generally quite damp, glorified crawl spaces. How do you typically use your basement? Could a detached garage or workshop serve your needs?

Robbie, yes, there is in this particular neighborhood. It’s just under $500/year & includes access to a great pool and some nice walking/jogging trails.

Ha! I agree completely. It was a fun experiment but it took over an hour of prompting just to get to this script. I could have been writing instead...but again, it was fun to try. Check back after 6AM today (6/7/23) and we added A.I. voices to the same video - including Snoop Dogg & Matthew McConaughey. It's more humorous with the voices.

That’s why it’s so cheap because people that want an old house usually want all the architecture that goes with it. They wrapped it but that’s really a great deal.

We see them every year. Where are you in the Lowcountry? Maybe it’s my personality but I find many people are happy & very friendly…but I’m obnoxiously optimistic, too, ha! @@charleston4real we live in the Crestwood subdivision, off Bacons Bridge. We're technically in the county, but have a Summerville address. We have woods on two sides of us (we bought the house because of that -- and because it was not too long of a drive to Middleton Place, where my husband works).

It’s gorgeous, isn’t it?! It’s one of my favorites in the historic district of Summerville, SC.

Very interesting question, Fadhil. The answer depends on a few clarification questions. Do you mean a general "southern dialect" or a very specific "Charleston dialect"? Do you mean specifically in the Charleston Peninsula or throughout the Tri-County area? There are a couple of locally know dialects called "Geeche" and "Gullah" that are much more specific and originate around the islands. You can still encounter plenty of folks with Geeche and Gullah dialects but it's certainly not the majority. I had 3 or 4 high school football coaches who had a Geeche dialect. @@charleston4real Thank you for this thorough reply. The events are in Charleston, with a scene in Hanahan (a white police officer speaking a local dialect) and another scene in Kiawah Island. So, that's right: the rest are a very specific Charleston dialect (but not all since two main characters speak a transplant dialect). As much I know through my reading and watching videos, Charleston dialect is different from other southern dialects and is influenced by African American dialect. And so, I need this for some of the dialogues. I put some of them and need to check them. As to Gullah, I put a few sentences using some sources and I need them to be checked too.

The entire "Lowcountry" is a wonderful place to live! I'd personally suggest coming in the Spring if you plan to visit a lot of the sights and attractions. However, if the Beach is your #1 interest, you can't beat the Summer. Which sounds better to you?
