Welcome to the Wonders of Heritage TH-cam channel! I'm Maria Baias and I'm your host here, taking you on a virtual journey around the world to explore the wonders of our world. As a Sci-Fi/Fantasy writer, I find inspiration for my alien worlds in the amazing places we have here on our own planet. In this channel, I share some of our world's wonders that can be used to inspire the creation of other worlds.
In this channel, you will learn about Cultural Heritage, both tangible heritage (including natural heritage and built heritage) and intangible heritage, and learn how we can use science to study and understand objects of cultural heritage. You will learn about Heritage Science and how we can preserve our world heritage through science. You will also learn about intangible heritage - beliefs and traditions, but also about myths and legends, as well as the cultural values of different cultures around the world.

What is the difference between rocks, minerals and gemstones?
What is the difference between rocks, minerals and gemstones? // In this video you will learn the definitions of rocks, minerals, and gemstones and uncover the differences between rocks, minerals, and gemstones. You will also discover how rocks, minerals, and gemstones are formed, and explore examples from each category. You will see examples of interesting igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks, and metamorphic rocks, as well as examples of minerals formed either through crystallization from magma or precipitation from solution, like the giant selenite crystals from the Naica Cave in Mexico. You will also learn which qualities a mineral has to have in order to get gemstones out of that mineral and you will explore the glittering precious gemstones and semi-precious gemstones.

WHAT IS CULTURAL HERITAGE? And how can we preserve our world heritage through Science?
RICHAT - ONLY CONFUSING TO THE IGNORANT It's got nothing to do with Meteorites, period. And clearly everything to do with the Planets Electrical field, and Electrical behaviour in the era 6,000-8,000 years ago. Today Lightning strikes on the planets surface will leave miniature formations in rock of this same shape, known as a Fulgurite (sometimes called fossilised lightning). In the era mentioned, electrical behaviour in the Solar system was greatly enhanced due to, the arrival of another planet. The main suspect being Saturn, which would explain its "New" rings. Themselves a result of huge electrical turmoil. Lightning strikes on Saturn even today can reach over 100,000 miles in length, and bridge the gap between Saturn and some of its closer Moons ! So the geological feature known as the "Richat Structure" is the result of a huge electrical strike hitting the ground, twice and possibly three times in exactly the same spot. It's a well known electrical behavioural pattern of Mother Nature, and not confined to Earth. Mars also exhibits such "odd" geological patterns, all electrically created. You need to talk to the IEEE. The Worlds Official Scientific Institute for Electricity, their based in New York !
I was sleeping and just woke up after two hours cos your voice is so so nice and sweet and cooling 💗💗
Surely the people who have lived there for centuries knew it was there and hence discovered it. Communities still live next to it
Love the vedios😊
Magmordion?
Hey Maria , thanks for all this knowledge, and i want to know more about NMR for how samples are made from .
Thats really interesting ❤loved the way youve explained each anf every mummification process in detail
As others have said it's crazy how you have to trawl through pages of conspiracy nonsense just to find an actual video about the geology and actual science. Thanks for the informative video!
Giants are not a myth. They are talked about in the Bible and every nation in the world has stories about them. There’s more human recorded evidence of Giants than there are of dinosaurs and yet people believe that hoax.
I want to learn about volcanoes can you show me about it?
super cool video, very informative, thank you so much!!!
great video
Thank you! 🙂
👌very nice and clear💯
Thank you! I’m glad to hear you found the explanation clear. 😊
i'm so sick of pseudo-science videos about the richat structure claiming it's atlantis or whatever. I'm really happy I found your video that actually explains in a simple way what the richat structure is and why it's so special <3
I'm so happy to see that there are some people who are interested in the science-based explanation. 🙂
There's another video by a guy who claims to have found the most amazing archeological site ever found but won't reveal it yet. Thx for this wonderful science-based video!!
That is Atlantis. Even the locals say so.
Symphony is. My favorite heritage
