GREAT !!!
Magnifique interprétation par tous d'un incontournable.Merci pour ce bon moment. 🙏 🎶❤️❤️🎶
Wonderful performance by Joshua Bell!
He is the best by far I've heard do this on the violin! What amazing blend of passion and precision! I would really like to hear Hilary Hahn perform this piece too!! He is supernaturally phenomenal!! Thank you for making such beautiful music! ❤
Here are a few of examples of Bach transcribing from violin to Organ or Harpsichord: Brandenburg Concerto #4 (violin soloist to harpsichord) Partita in E BWV 1006: I. Preludio (solo violin to organ+orchestra) BWV 1001 to BWV 539 Dubious but nearly certain: Concerto BWV 1052 This could well have been another case where Bach reused a violin work.
This would be awesome for a Castlevania movie, for a setting where the Belmont is preparing for his battle with Dracula, as the cycle begins anew. Leading all the way to the castle gates, where our hero finally arrives to his fate. A battle to the end with the Prince of Darkness. 🦇
Are the cadenzas Kreisler or Bel
Full combo. Prog af. Bravo.
I am honest . Good performance, better than Maxim Vangerov, but Maxim Vangerow is also a great violinist in this time.
Quanta bellezza! Grazie!
Bravissimo ❤
Interesting
You have to understand Beethoven. I, classic Pianist, was not allowed to play Mozart. Heavy hands 😂. Beautiful day for all!!!
Lasted twenty seconds before I started sobbing
With you
He moves around too much & makes me dizzy. He also takes great liberties with his interpretation, which strays from the nobility of this concerto. He makes the 3rd movement sound like an uneventful walk in the park. He does, however, manage to get a descent enough tone out of that phenomenal, multi-million dollar violin he plays. The cadenza sounds very confused & strays from the crux of this concerto except for throwing in the 4 note motif every now & then. Sounds like pieces of various other cadenzas reassembled & pasted together. Bell is highly over-rated. He doesn't come close to Hillary Hahn & is far, far from Heifetz & Oistrakh. But for the average listener who likes a cute violinist with black pajamas & flamboyancy, he's a crowd pleaser.
It sounds pretty good on violin, but I’m not convinced at all that it was originally intended for violin. The Toccata in this performance sounds extremely modern, almost like an Ysaye sonata, and I think that anyone who thinks that sounds like a Bach or even Baroque violin piece is totally biased by how violin music has developed since. It certainly sounds nothing at all like the 6 solo violin sonatas which are the only other examples of solo violin pieces by Bach and therefore the only way to measure them. The fugue does admittedly sound a bit more like a Baroque violin piece, but still doesn’t sound like Bach. Overall, in any case, the piece still sounds better on organ.
yeah this could have been more like a double violin/harpsichord concerto if anything?
Gracias ☺️
I can barely play old Mac Donald on my violin 😂
I can't count how many times I've watched this performance.
3:20 sounds like fly me to the moon

Increible Bach y Sergei.

Porque Joshua Bell siempre usa camisa negra y un pantalón negro en todos los conciertos o actuaciones? Why Joshua Bell always wears a black shirt and black pants at all concerts or performances?
Wow
When JOSHUA closes eyes and gets into HIS world the result is SO much feeling!!! with a touch of poetry!!! which makes HIM unique!!!
Bravo..
Well in this canse it's A minor.
I am an adult violin learner in Taiwan. This record made me speechless. This man play so seriously and devoting, and I have a feeling of asking him, why you are so serious? The lady in the background may has the same question. Sometimes one would insist on something so hard and only a few people could understand. I believe this kind of person may don't know why to insist so hard themselves, but they did. I think it may be explained as that they are sharing their talent with people, and not really asking for equivalent reward from men, because they have their treasure on the Heaven.
Heaven is a false concept. He looks serious because he is concentrating on giving a flawless performance and he is also tuned into the music it is not a frivolous piece. The lady in the background is an upper middle class haw haw who just paid £100 for her tickets and will explain to her upper middle class high brow music snobs at the next dinner party how wonderful the performance was.
@@PreservationEnthusiast «...and will explain to her upper middle class high brow music snobs at the next dinner party how wonderful the performance was.» -- Ah ah ah. Right - if she was at a charity concert, with him dressed less well, she would explain, to her fellow upper middle well dressed £100 concert-lingerers, how she had to sacrifice herself and listen to Untermenschen's violin. Btw I observed that middlers are tipping much more the waiters that sweat seriously. And saw those waiters starting to sweat as soon as they see those admirers of other's sweating. ah ah, you make me laugh, thanks. :)
@@voltydequa845 Yeah but he wasn't dressed less well. So your scenario is false. I explained a 90% scenario. You cover a 10% one. Ultimately numbers and opinions dictate. Therefore I win. Crawl back under your rock, if an amoeba can travel that far!
@@PreservationEnthusiast You didn't get it. Mine was reductio ad absurdum, so it added to yours (and whatever the percentage). Crawl back to the folds of your mind.
@@PreservationEnthusiast + and, ops, English is not my mother language. I wrote "make me laugh" instead of "made me laugh".
