CGC is not accountable and they don't care about their customers. They told me so. I suggest CBCS as they don't take their customers for granted and they back up their grades with grader's notes.

Corners mean flaws effecting only the tips of the upper and lower corner not including the spine. Anything not touching the tips along the edge is considered edge damage. CGC does not want anyone to know their exact grading standars so that they cannot be called out on their inconsistencies. This would mean that they are being accountable for their decisions and CGC doesn't want that. They have told me that on the phone and if I don't like it, go somewhere else. Got it. Done with CGC. There's alot of misconceptions and useless pressing videos out there. Got to be careful on which ones to follow and for god's sake don't try anything new on comics worth anything. I have considered making a how to series if you guys are really interested. The results I've gotten are pretty substantial and consistent. If you guys are interested, let me know and I'll consider making it.

The books were dropped hard either by CGC or shiiping. No one will admit to it and very hard to prove. I still think it's CGC as I pack my books like Fort Knox. My follow up videos show this and the results. CGC doesn't like their customers in general as they have told me in person to go elsewhere if I don't like their policy. Done. No more CGC for me. I'm not sure if you got the wrong message from my review. I believe EGS graded my books correctly. They were accurate on their grading and proved it with their detailed notes. I understand if you don't want to put your high end books as a test so try them with lesser books. They are new to the scene but you should call them and try them out. They are doing an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone. As for CGC, they are garbage and they don't care about their customers as they have told me in person and they don't care to be accountable. I'm done giving CGC my money.

Not a bad idea in principle but trying to make that case to CGC is about as useful as taking your cat for a walk on a leash.

Not sure how that's relevant since this has nothing to do with people's grading on eBay.

Lottery or lazy? Not sure which one... Maybe they are just doing things because they don't care anymore because they don't need to be held accountable.It's a shame when a company that could do more for their customers just takes the easy road.

That Polaris cover is one of my favorites. Hope you pick a good place for the signature. I'm NOT a fan of having the signature interfere with the art on the cover. Why else would artists sign their artworks mainly on a small corner of their painting or under sculptures? I personally think there's nothing wrong with either PGX or EGS as I have used both. If it's for a keeper and display book then go with EGS. In my opinion, the slab is clearer and the 100% UV protection is awesome. No worries about cover fading from sunlight. Let me know how it goes, good luck.

Either way don’t let it bother you, just sell it and hunt for a better copy. If you want it for your collection.

The spider-Woman also looked like a 8.0, but again don’t let CGC grades bother you. Also you can always tell them not to slab if it’s under a certain grade, I’m sure you know. Have fun, enjoy collecting.

That's a good point. You have to trust that they do the right thing. I have never heard of anyone actually claim their book was switched. There has been damage, like mine but that's it. It's also best to note any defects on the book and take detailed pictures if possible.

I think it's more about being transparent and accountability rather than choosing which company is best. If they are all consistent by showing us what their findings are thru graders notes, we would criticise them less because we would understand their reasoning.

Not really disappointed in the grades as much as I am with CGC. We need them to be more transparent and that means giving us grader's notes on every book under 10.0. It's the only way for them to be accountable to their customers and gain our trust that their grading is consistent. Appreciate the sub, thanks.

It's crazy how people's blind loyalty will protect CGC instead of calling them out. There's nothing wrong with CGC being around. They just need to be accountable and transparent to their customers. Cheers

Yes The Killing Joke had it's rise during the animated movie and has cooled down now. That's the best time to buy. I get better deals for the books I want. It's all about "buying low, selling high". Besides if they actually make this story as a real movie, it might get another value bump, then that's my Jam!

Don't get me wrong, I love this book in whatever grade. It's one of my all time holy grail that I cherish greatly. That's why I would have been happy with a blue label Universal grade of 1.5. My beef is with CGC and their use of the green label Qualified grade of 3.5. I am ecstatic with that higher grade but I believe it is not earned. Giving it a grade 3.5 because that's what it would have gotten if the value stamp was not cut out is playing in the realm of ifs and buts. I don't want a grades based on fantasy, I want an honest grade of what it actually is. Still a great book and I hope one comes your way soon. Cheers.
