*ကမ္ဘာမကြေ ဗမာပြည်* explanation : 0:42 *ကမ္ဘာမကြေ* (kambhā ma kre /gə bā mə kyē/ , popularly known as Kaba Ma Kyei) is the shortening of *ကမ္ဘာကြေသော်လည်းဥဒါန်းမကျေ* meaning that "even if the earth crumbles, the utterance will not perish". သခင်ဘသောင်း the original lyricist of ဒို့ဗမာသီချင်း defined it that "As long as this earth of the mass of 240000 yūzanā has not crumbled, the ဗမာ nation is the nation that we own." 0:46 *ဗမာပြေ* ဗမာ (bamā /bə mā/ , Bamar) is the colloquial form of မြန်မာ (mranmā /mjə mā/ , Myanmar) , both have the same meaning "Burma". ဒို့ဗမာအစည်းအရုံး popularized the use of ဗမာ as the inclusive term for all nationalities of Burma. Note that the official name of Burma has always been မြန်မာ. The socialist government in 1981 inverted the ဒို့ဗမာအစည်းအရုံ's stand, ဗမာ became the term only associated with the major ethnic group မြန်မာလူမျိုး renamed to ဗမာလူမျိုး . That's the reason for the word ဗမာ in songs and marches being replaced by the word မြန်မာ in 1989. 1:52 But there's one question: When and by whom was the word "ဗမာ" in National Anthem replaced with "မြန်မာ"? Most popular answer is 1989 but I think it's earlier. The Burmese socialist governments actually attempted to completely replace the anthem with a new socialist-themed anthem during the drafting of constitution in 1971-1973 but ended to readopt this old anthem only with a word replacement in 1976.

I made this collection because the playlist I found on TH-cam with title "Music of Socialist Burma" has no pro-socialist Burma songs but it includes anti-socialist songs and unrelated songs. I can't correct them because those anti-socialist songs have been "released" to TH-cam music ironically as if they were produced by the SRUB regime, LoL. Therefore, I have to find some actual music of Socialist Burma and make collections. I hope the uploader(s) of "anti-"Socialist Burma playlist will find this.

At the beginning of 1945 before the anti-fascist resistance revolution, this historic song was written by great musician Shwe Taing Nyunt, despite suffering from serious health problem and lying on bed, as his last song because of the request of General Aung San. This particular version was performed by Maw Kinnari music group and aired on TV in 2018. The sun on red is the emblem of the Northeastern Command (ရမခ).
