    • @pressurewashnerds
      @pressurewashnerds 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Unfortunately neither. We’ve got great pressure and flow in our area. You’d just make a splitter though from the sediment filter to both RO membranes. Then run both outlets to another tee and into the DI tank. I would run the discharge on both to a common line through the same valve just so you only have one to adjust each time. Booster pump you can reference other builds but I’m assuming it would go in line right after the sediment filter.

    Whats the update today with your cart? Have you switched the membrane filter yet or your di resin? Where do you purchase your resin ?I just bought all the things on Amazon for this build. I already had a small DI tank I just need new resin. Is there a specific membrane filter I seen that there was a lot of them.

    • @pressurewashnerds

      Original DI tank is still running strong. It was honestly way overkill for our area and incoming TDS but we don’t clean windows everyday either. I would actually suggest getting the resin at Windowcleaner.com and they also sell a smaller DI cartridge.

    • @pressurewashnerds
      @pressurewashnerds หลายเดือนก่อน

      I always like to err on the side of larger tube and fittings, since the fittings are your choke point for flow. I built this system with 3/4” on the pure water side and you can use smaller for the RO discharge

    • @pressurewashnerds
      @pressurewashnerds หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can wire it in wherever you’d like as long as it’s spanning positive 12V to ground. I’m assuming you want to measure battery voltage so I’d suggest running the wires direct from the screw terminals on your battery. Alternatively, you could add it in on the leads for your pump. The voltage should be identical in either spot.

      @@pressurewashnerds Ok. so another question then, can i add another set of terminals on the battery then? because 10g wire is used for the initial setup but the voltage meter has really tiny wire. The diameter of the surface cleaner doesn’t factor into the nozzle size? I was looking at a 20” cleaner to go with my 4.0 gpm machine. I know the cleaner is a little oversized, but was wondering if the nozzle size should be adjusted because of that larger cleaner.

    • @pressurewashnerds
      @pressurewashnerds หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. As a general rule, 4” per GPM but many people had used 20” with a 4GPM. It’s just a little less efficient than a 16 or 18, so you’d have to walk slower.

    • @pressurewashnerds
      @pressurewashnerds หลายเดือนก่อน

      You’re welcome! Same initial filtering as the Pure but it’s got a higher flow RO membrane and DI tank than both of those options so you’ll probably end up with better flow out of this custom build than either one of those options.

  • @CarterStutzman
    @CarterStutzman 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I just completed the same build and the water pressure coming out of the DI tank is the same, but doesn’t seem to be enough to come efficiently out of the water fed pole, any ideas why? Do I need a booster pump? Different pole?

    • @pressurewashnerds
      @pressurewashnerds หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, if your flow is too low you’d probably want to add a booster pump. Flow to a WFP in general isn’t going to be super high. Give it a try first on your own windows and see if you can adjust the RO bypass to get the flow you need.

    if the ro was hooked up to just a garden hose, what would the output be like? I have a di cart for pressure washing my cars and was wondering if i can use the ro as an inline prefilter before my di tank but i suspect that the ro membrane is pretty restrictive because all the set ups I have seen incorporates a tank to hold the water after it has gone through the ro and then it is pumped into the di via booster and then to the pressure washer. Would a hi flo ro membrane help?

    • @pressurewashnerds
      @pressurewashnerds 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At the end of the day, the single RO is always going to be the most restrictive. The Axeon membrane linked in this video was the highest flow at low pressure (garden hose) that I could find. But I think if you’re trying to feed a pressure washer, I’d look at running multiple RO membranes in parallel.

      Yes, there is no downside to rinsing first with a garden hose or similar, and then using the RO/DI system.

    Thank you ! all is possible. What was you last price and time doing this?

    • @pressurewashnerds
      @pressurewashnerds 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe around $1100 but cost can be reduced by downsizing the DI tank which is a bit overkill or using a less premium RO membrane. Full parts list in the description for accurate pricing.

    If I have a Simpson 4gpm/4000 psi, would I get 2 nozzles at 2.0 or 2.5? Should I get a 16” surface cleaner? Thanks for any help!

      25020 nozzles paired with a 16” surface cleaner would be perfect for you

    Just a homeowner with many windows . Is there a lower cost option pole ?

    • @pressurewashnerds
      @pressurewashnerds 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! For poles you can with a fiberglass or hybrid option. Check out the Gardiner brand from the Detroitsponge website. The only trade off is it’ll have a lot more flex than a carbon pole
