It takes an extra 3 seconds to make sure you are take a even amount of steel of each side. When your customers pay 200 a week. You balance your blades. When you balance your blades, you can charge that much 😊
One of the best bikes I ever had, easy to work on, very reliable, never let me down... the piston is huge, lol, the one you have is in mint condition, enjoy ❤
Thanks for watching!
looks good
Thanks Bro, I should have used a piece of 1/4 inch batting to calm down the imperfections. Maybe next time.
The battery is too bulky for me to pick it over the M12.
So why didn’t you finish balancing it ?
I was just showing the tool, there is a video of balancing a blade on my channel. @flipfix
I just acquired a 1973 CT90 which makes your parts bike look factory fresh. I think if it was me, the first thing to do after hooking up the battery would be to remove the wires from your ignition switch, and them hook those together. My thinking is the switch opens and closes, so jump the wires to close and complete the circuit. Of course I too am very unfamiliar with the electrics so I probably am wrong. Keep at, I look forward to learn about when I get to my CT90
Good work! I tested the ignition coil of my Skyteam PBR 125 (Honda ZB 50 clone) with the 12 V battery and a spark plug. It was ok, the real problem was the side stand switch, which had leaked water into it. I was told that after I had sold the bike bc I was annoyed of the china crap...
Stoked to see those trail 90’s running! 🤘
Me too!
Instead of beating on the base, you tighten the shorter bolt to pull the tool into place. You do not need to hit the base of the tool. I have that same tool. It works well, if you use it correctly. It will easily break the bead on large tractor tires.
Thanks for the input, I now see what you're talking about. Should be easier next time.
If you count the strokes of the file... and match that on the other end you'll be close.
They should make a 2 stroke gas and oil mix air freshener.
Great idea!
My CS3C was bought in Norfolk Va. in 1970 (Well's Motorcycles) and the serial # was very low. I think 461 with some leading zeros. The C in the model designated the high pipe street scrambler style. I'm pretty sure it was the only year the 200cc model was built with the high pipes although the earlier model 180cc, 1969, was available with them. The low pipe models that followed had a B replacing the C in the model number. I really liked the green paint but not so much the plum that followed in the low pipe, 1971, models. I don't remember mine coming with turn signals in Virginia. Maybe that was a state-to-state requirement? I think it would top out at about 80mph on a good day. 2 years of HS and 1 year in college before selling for about $250 with 7500 miles. I think it was a little under $700 new. The buyer said he was going to rebuild the engine because it smoked. I tried to explain the 2 stroke thing to him but he didn't seem to listen. Anyway, it didn't need a rebuild.
Great story! Thanks for watching.
Pretty cool, amazing it ran somquick👍
The magic of editing. I cut out a lot of me kicking and kicking. Didn't want to bore ya'll to death.
Very cool! Excited to see how ya get that seat cover figured out!
FORGOT TO TURN CHOKE OFF??
Most certainly could have, I'm old and forgetful.
What is your E & F #'s?
E-305976 / F-303846
Wow, pretty close ... E# difference only 46 *** F# difference only 258
So my 64's Engine # 306022 Frame # 304104 * stock color is white
I have a 1964, same chain guard… If I think of it, I’ll send you the Vin number when I’m out in the garage… Really enjoy your channel… I have several small motorcycles I restored and working on… Right now working on my second Sears Gilera 106 SS
Good to hear about your 64 having the same chain guard and the vin would be very helpful. Glad you like the channel! Thanks for watching.
I love seeing these old bikes come back to life, and your enthusiasm for them. Regards, Duck
Yeah, it's pretty cool to hear them roar back to life. Thanks for watching!
Let us know what year this motorcycle is if you can. Thanks
My very first set of wheels was a 75 350XL. I RODE that bike to school, work, and went accross the Washington Idaho border to visit my grandparents. It was my first taste of real freedom and I'll never forget it. I want to ride on again sometime, im 56 and dealing with cancer and lung issues, and my wife is dead set against it trying to keep me alive, but....I still think about finding a 350 Xl or a 500 Xl early 80's something of that Honda Enduro type. Just so easy to ride, i had a Honda V45 magna, and i hated that thing, it rode you, it was so different, and NOT intuitive at all. But that 350 was just like being on a bike for me.
Nice little bike, reminds a little of the Honda SS 50.
Can’t wait to see the wagon get right 👀👀
You didn't show how it works. You just spun it around.....
Amazing how a new seat cover can make a bike pop!
Yeah, it looks a lot better and will help sell it.
BAck in the day, a buddy of mine had one of these, and it had a habit (like most 2 strokes of the time) of occasionally fouling the plug. We were on a trail ride and sure enough, it fouled a plug. We had no plug wrench (dumb kids), but we did have a 10 mm wrench - so we just pulled the head off, flicked the piece of crap from between the electrodes, bolted the head back on and continued our ride...
Sounds like my early days with bikes, great story. Thanks for watching.
Do these pumps come standard on any pressure washer models? Thanks for this informative video.
I couldn't tell you that, I kinda doubt it. Thanks for watching!
Thank you
For being a one-man-show your videos are really good! Filming while repairing is not easy. Thank you!
Thanks a bunch! You are right, it's not easy being a one man show. Thanks for watching.
@@flipfix I cancelled making videos of me repairing iMac, China Pbr125 bike clone and bicycles in realtime lol!
It’s really a YZ with lights
The carb so nice he cleaned it twice!
Nice…is the balancer balanced ?😳
@ $75 I'll pass.
Torch is so much faster. Heat for the win
Heat does work well but not on fenders this corroded. I tried heat and it melts the bad plastic into the good and looks bad. You can see it on the tip of the fender. Thanks for watching!
You should try a heat gun or a torch from a distance, that's how they 'refinish' stadium seats
I have used the heat gun / torch method before but in my case it usually looked kinda blotchy. Thanks for watching!
I need to do this to my feet
Try the torch method. 😂
The nail method works just as well and is a heck of a lot cheaper!!😃😃😃
Good job brother
There's nothing like elbow grease and abraded finger tips lol! Fender looks much better, probably you could wax it too. And maybe you could have added a handle to your scraper like on a ceramic hob scraper, better for your fingers...
Both are good ideas, going to look for handle before I tackle the rear fender. Thanks for watching!
Well done. Sometimes good enough is good enough. The elbow grease required to sand it and eventually buff it is a diminishing return.
Thanks for your input and thanks for watching. 👍
Tape a penny to the top side of the light end like we do with ceiling fans... Lol
That just might work... 😀
Good job brother
Thanks Cain!
Apparently we have similar flashbacks of sitting on our bikes with the front brake on and the fork compressed for alignment.
The 1970s were a lot of fun. 🤣
@@flipfix I joined a decade later. My first motorcycle was a KE125 from the seventies. Ran good, but did not like rain lol! And tended to loose its silencer bc of vibrations.
Nice work getting the DS back in shape. It amazing how much damage can be done, even by dropping a bike.
Thanks Dale!
Love your videos man!!! Thanks for posting again!
Thanks a bunch Joe! Just an old dude having some fun with old bikes.
@@flipfix me too! Also just having fun watching old dudes have some fun with old bikes. It’s easier on my back! Ha ha
Where. Is the 2T oil tube ...Big problem
Well that carb worked.
Hope you managed to find a kick start. Bike look nude without one. Use to own.a 1972 CS Yammy 200cc.
Have you found a brand of gasket material that’s pretty good all round to have for just in case. I enjoy your work and the fact that you do the minimum to get them running . Thank You.
No, I have not found a particular gasket material to use because I've not had to make a gasket in years. Thanks for watching.
Well done! I used oil or stamping ink on the surfaces I needed the gasket for. Like potato printing as a kid lol!
Thanks for the great tip, I'll remember to use that in the future.
In the video, you indicated the key was too fat on one side so only fit with skinny side of key into engine shaft slot. Are you sure the key doesn't slide in fat-side-down from the end of the shaft notch?
Didn't think to try it that way. You make a good point. Machine is working well to date. Thanks for the input, pun intended. 😃
