If I am ever preserved in a ship wreck at the bottom of Lake Superior or some comparable location, I hope divers decades in the future feel free to photograph and video me for posterity. I would not regard it as disrespectful!
I honestly thought my HDD on my laptop was failing. Then I paused the video, and realized it was just the soundtrack from the video. Only then did I remember I have a SSD in here. Thanks for scaring me.
He’s laying face down. It’s the only white color on the screen at 2:07. His boots are pointing towards 9 o’clock and you can only see up to about his waist area.
Great work. And thanks for being the one person that did their research. I keep hearing about whiskey barrels, yet every news story from the period talks of flour stored in bbls (beer barrels). Wonderful shots...this is amazing work. And RIP to those that lost their lives.
Do you know what an evp is? They're voices of people no longer alive. They're everywhere we are, even under the water. I didn't come here for that. I came here to see the wreck but picked up some anyways. Most people can't hear them but some of us still can. The ones I heard are residual, meaning they are from the past and were the actual words spoken. Kind of a loop from the past. There's more than these here but here are some more notable ones. 2:24 "What happened!?" 4:49 "Turn A-ROUND!" 4:52 "I don't know!" 4:54 "For the last time, God help ..." 6:00 "Turn her up!!" yelled
@nickstanton9480 It's like I said, most people can't hear any let alone one or two. But some of us can. It's validating when people do hear them but if they couldn't the audio still doesn't lie. It must be hearing ability plus I use high end headphones and speakers with the volume cranked all the way up. There can never be any background noise distractions at my house when listening too.
@@Pro-Deo I heard things that you could misinterpret as distant, vague voices and language, but that isn’t EVP. That’s your brain trying to make sense of the background noise. I did hear what you misinterpreted as language, but there were no human voices.
@@technologicallyilliterate Well then it's settled. I know where you stand on this. So does anyone else who reads our comments and replies. Meaning you are right in your own mind as much as I'm right in my mind too. Am I upset by this or even you? Nah, it's all good🕊
My dive instructor back in '78 was an ex Navy Seal and salvage diver. He showed us film footage he'd taken on a reck dive in Lake Superior but I don't recall the name of the ship. His footage showed a body in what he said was the engine room but the body had on overalls. I'm guessing it was this ship.
Hi, there! We are covering the story of the SS Kamloops for one of our podcast episodes and are looking for someone who has dived the Kamloops to give a short interview about their experience. Would you be interested in coming on the show? Interviews are typically 10 - 30 minutes long and you can promote or shout out any projects you'd like. Thank you for your consideration!
Very strange lifesavers candy...the gails of november dint care for candy apparently.....strange seeing that cool though of all things it amazing how the cold preserves

1:42 is the body of Old Whitey. Its the white mass caught in the pipes. Those are his upper legs sticking out.
Oh wow I can see his beard
I can’t tell if the part you can see is the face or not
Its just his legs.
So many Lifesavers and none of them worked
SS Kamloops sank on / about Dec 7th… 1927…. NOT in 1929, as the Title card (wrongly) states
Ol' Whitey, still on the job . . .
bet that water was cold my boi

Why did they never bring big whitey out of the room and give them a burial
Rust and barnacles give me the creeps. Never mind viewing an old shipwreck on the bottom of an inland sea!
man this is eerie. really fantastic footage.
Astonishing Legends podcast just put out an episode on the Kamloops. I never would of learned of it if it weren't for them.
Same!! Love that podcast
Anyone else see what looked like a face in the engine room? When they first went in.
2:07 that body called “old whitey” is terrifying why do people do these things like dive
so is old whitey a man or a fish
#Sundaycooltees
whos here looking for old whitey
Ninjas are butterflies sent me here
Crescent Lake in PNW Washington has some similarly disturbing cases due to the year round temperatures
Ninjas are butterflies
Ninja are butterflies, bring you here
What camera, light, and housing are you using? The quality is clear!
Did you take any still photographs?
I must be the only person who can't see any corpses at either timestamps lol

Haunting and heartbreaking
Goddamn lifesaver candies were apparently shirking their duties…..
2:06-2:09 you can make out Old Whitey’s skull behind the grating on the upper right
Thank you for not heavily filming Old Whitey. Man deserves his privacy
Ah old whitey/grandpa on guard still better not mess about or he gonna get ya and make you clean his ship😂
Them disks are farm equipment

It has to be so cold down there. Anyone know what the water temp is?
It’s somewhere just above freezing if I’m not wrong
It's almost precisely 0 degrees celsius

Correct. This body in the video is referred to as Old Whitey and the body you're referring to is known as Grandpa
Amazing footage

Just read about this on Reddit! Thanks for posting!
is that a torso at 8:07?
No, but the white mass at 2:00 is a body known as "Old Whitey"
@@VirreFriberg what about the stuff behind those disk thingies?
@@nateh145thats a body
I really hope SOMEBODY takes a picture of Old Whitey's face before global warming heats up the water and makes him rot!
He doesn’t have a head
God I wish we had a better better look of the entire engine room! I would like to know what the other sides look like!
