I watch this show so much that I can hear just a few words and know exactly what episode and season it’s on so as I watch your reactions in the background I heard the chaos of the walkers in the prison and knew it was time to pay attention. I think Daryl's ignoring Beth in the beginning because he's just tired of losing people. He doesn't want her to be someone else he loses, so he's trying his best NOT to connect with her or get close to her. I think for Beth, the drink represents all of life that she has not had the opportunity to experience yet, and now she believes she never will get to experience. She hesitates on drinking the peach schnapps because once she does it, this mission she's been on, this GOAL is finished and she'll just feel lost again. :( Daryl has been in the habit of lashing out when people get too close, when they show him affection or concern. Remember the way he spoke to Carol when she tried to thank him for looking for Sophia for so long? He doesn't know how to handle kindness and affection, because he's never had any. The moment here when he broke and Beth hugged him - my HEART, y'all. Such a powerful moment.

My guess was somebody got shot on the bus during the escape from the prison,then died and turned before anyone could see but thats just my best guess of what probably happened

Beth is like a little sister

I have to say they have some big beautiful homes in Georgia the house Rick and them were in and the house Carl and Michonne found the big porches I love that Darrell took me out when he was crying and talking about he should have looked for the governor a little longer I'm glad that he was able to release a little bit of his pain because like you said he always there for everybody I'm glad Beth there for him at that time😢

HI you guys I'm late to the reaction to piggyback on everybody else I love the dynamic between Michonne and Carl someone said it she's a better mother than Lori was I think so too Michelle know how to take care of herself Lori needed someone to take care of her I'm glad Michelle talked about her baby I think that would help her some because her and Carl are hurting really bad so they're being together like that it's beautiful❤

I love this episode we get to experience Beth a little more because we haven’t seen or heard much from her previously And we get to see Daryl deal with some of his past who he thinks he is versus how others (Beth) see him Daryl basically sees himself in the shadow of whoever’s in charge - Merle/Rick/Hershel - but in this episode Beth was vulnerable and he stepped up to take charge but we also get to see his own vulnerability of being left alone Carol tried to tell him before that he’s just as good as the others but I don’t think he quite believed her.

Beth hugging Daryl after his breakdown is such a powerful moment for me It gives me goosebumps every time I watch it.

Daryl sees Beth as a little sister, it's not romantic.

You’re gonna be the last man standing That is Daryl’s biggest fear in the world losing all the people he loves and becoming nothing again I remember thinking those words will be ringing in his ears every time someone dies.

The tough guy can show his emotions and regrets and the weak girl can start the path to be stronger It is a quiet episode but so much development for Daryl and Beth loved it.

Beth ain't legal, she's 17, lol. Daryl is mid to late 30's.

I want to believe Daryl is starting to see Beth as a Little Sister. I want to believe he isnt falling in love with her in that way. But she is a very emotional being and he isn't. She is everything he never got to be. She was spoiled rotten and had a loving family. Daryl never had anything handed to him. But he also knows she isnt a survivor like others. He feels like she will eventually die and he will fail her just like he did for Hershel and Merle. And she doesnt believe she will survive. She knows she doesnt have what it takes to be as brutal and cold as this world requires you to be. He's afraid to feel anything and she feels too much. This pairing is also interesting as they are both TV original characters for the most part. The closest the comics get to anything like this is when Carol gets with Billy Greene at the Prison, but thats A VAGUE comparison. Its up to you to decide what their dynamic is. Cause TO THIS DAY their dynamic is rather controversial as far as pairings go.

I believe Beth is 17 or 18 and Daryl is late 20s. Real world that would be weird but this world I don't think it's so weird. They age in dog years in the zombie apocalypse. Lol

People don't like this episode but it's one of my favorites.

Milton said they starve slow but who really knows. I think they just slow up after not feeding for awhile. And I believe fresher walkers, newly turned, are stronger than more decayed ones, it makes sense.

Not my favorite episode but I do like seeing Beth more and how Daryl is looking out for her. She just lost her whole family, thinks Maggie is gone forever, lost her boyfriend Zack and is just trying to do more than survive. Getting that drink is her goal right now so Daryl is gonna help her do that. An unlikely duo but it ends up making sense and they help each other cope with losing everyone and their home.
