This is a quick little procedure on how to engage Neutral on a BMW F model 5 series, if the car has power but does not start. On my 550i there was no plastic transmission key in the trunk, and there is no way to unlock the transmission under the cup-holder. Lifting the car, climbing under and dismantling portion of the undercarriage is not really an option on the side of a major highway either....
