    Hi, I have a 6240 which most of the mechanicals appear to be the same as your tractor. My reproduced manual states that every 6200 series is equipped with two hydraulic filters, one being a replaceable cartridge in the 3-bolt housing under the seat. A second filter being a cleanable - reusable filter in under the cover plate of the power lift housing. I can not locate this due to poor picture quality of my manual. Do you have any experience on this subject. Thanks, Ray

      Hi I'll try to get you some details on the transmission oil as soon as I can, too much work recently! It is not the same oil though. I have a video in my Deutz Playlist with checking the transmission oil and in that one I detail the type of oil. As for the hydraulics, the manual actually calls for the same motor oil as used in the engine. I'm pretty sure mine has normal cheap hydraulic fluid. I'll be changing the transmission and hydraulic fluid on mine at some point and will post a video, but that might be a bit aways. Take care! Ok, I screwed up!!! I went to add some hydro fluid to my 1977 3006 Deuts and forgot that I had used the last empty jug to drain some old oil and gas mix in it!!! Yep , I had poured about a quarter in before I could shut myself down. Now I need to drain the hydro tank. Where is the correct place to drain the tank from??? Thanks

    • @Buttons_fix_it
      @Buttons_fix_it 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yikes! That's no fun, but at least you caught it. For my 4506 the manual states to remove the fluid from the fill hole using a hand pump. I've found the small red hand pumps at harbor freight to work great and last time I got one it was about $7, so very affordable. I'm not sure if there is a place to drain it from, but considering the manual says to pump it out I suspect there isn't a good drain point. Best of luck and let me know how the change goes, I'm going to be changing mine this year.. hopefully!

      Oh wow, I always assumed it would cut through. I've never turned rotors since replacements have been so cheap. Try searching "d4506 owners manual" and they should be in the first few results. The other book I picked up on eBay I think. It is the Deutz Ersatzteil-Nummernliste ( Spare Parts / Nos. List) PN 500 0637 It is just diagrams and tons of part numbers. I like it for a reference since it is filled with exploded view diagrams which helps me figure out things fit together. • @Buttons_fix_it
      @Buttons_fix_it 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've noticed some gear oils out of stock as well recently, not sure why. With gear oil I make sure to stick with the correct GL number since the additives between GL's can cause issues. If the GL number is correct I'll be more flexible on the weight, especially if I really need to get something filled and back to service. I looked online right now Advance Auto is showing GL-4 in-stock with free shipping: Carquest Oil & Fluids EP 90 GL-4 Gear Oil, 5 Gallon In the meantime it may just take a bunch of phone calls or hunting sites for local auto / tractor / marine parts stores to find it. Best of luck!

    if i have to remove the injection pump and looks like i do, what kind of retiming you have to do? my pump is bad on this deutz

    • @Buttons_fix_it
      @Buttons_fix_it 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have not had to work on the pump past priming and oiling on my Deutz, so not familiar. Have you bought a replacement pump yet? If so, curious if it came with any instructions? At a minimum definitely would want to make sure you carefully note the way anything is aligned when you remove the old pump. Hopefully I'll have a chance to review the parts diagram this week and see if I can glean anything.

      @@Buttons_fix_it yes i ordered a new pump. drive the tractor hard to control the way it runs. like there is some thing in the gov broke. on the back side of the pump. where the 12mm is to check the oil level

      was out of oil. so it is soaking as i wait . on a new starter this one was rebuilt. years ago. its dead as of now lol

      @@Buttons_fix_it well down to removing the pump. all strip down to take the pump off. front plate off then removed the center bolt and three small bolts in the flange holding the pump to the gear. was relieved to see no timing. have to remove no1 head cover and check for top dead center to start fuel flow after the new pump is on. not going to be a bad job.
