Flexitouch pump for Lipidema Lymphedema lipolymphedema. I have the hang of it now.
Updating by request. I’ve gotten much better at getting in and out and I’d say total 1.5 hours including getting out and putting away for legs and trunk. Twice that for arms.
Also general life updates.

I GOT A ROLLATOR (ROLLING WALKER/WHEELED WALKER)
มุมมอง 17K4 ปีที่แล้ว
It's here, it's here! Since I was a bit fuzzy in the video, let me restate my priorities in choosing this: 1. Under $200 2. Can fold up side to side and stand up on its own 3. Cargo space not inaccessible when seat is in use 4. Minimal adjustments to get from standing to seated 5. Not hideous 6. Larger wheels preferred I settled on the OasisSpace rollator, and paid about $162 (with tax etc) on ...

I still have my old system which is cumbersome due to Velcro. I would love to have the newer ones which seem easier. Still waiting to find someone to do my surgery.

Are those clips so that you can lock your walker in the closed position and lift it into the car without it unfolding?

I have these on the way. After seeing how difficult this is, I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it all on my own. I've been using the zip on legs and they're so easy. Thought these would be too. One more challenge I guess. Sigh.

You did show how vertically close by pulling up the seat strap. Narrow enough for small places like a closet. I hope it does that. You have a good deal and adventures ahead.

I’m glad I came across your video. I was wondering if anyone out there would show us and try to educate us if the machine is a good thing or not. It’s very expensive and I still don’t know how much my insurance will cover if any. So I was recently diagnosed with this and all this is new to me.

You should be doing the Lymphatic massage before your pump goes on. Ive been doing the pump for 12 years. Be careful make sure you do the massage before you put that pump on

I’m so glad I found your TH-cam! I had lipidemia surgery on my calves in July, because I was in excruciating pain every night putting ice packs on my calves, and taking tons and tons of Advil, so I had the surgery and now I have this machine. I cannot get my legs flat properly and, they had me do a zoom session with a lady who tried to get it all set up with me and one leg is perfect but I swear they sent me a used machine because the left leg was already all Velcro-ed together and I’ve never been able to make it fit me right. Partly, that’s because I’m afraid to undo every bit of Velcro! I do really enjoy my machine time though, and I am a believer that it’s going to help me in the long run! I don’t ever want that pain to come back! Anyway, thank you for making these very very very helpful videos! Also, I just saw you say you have been married for 20 years, and my first thought was “they must’ve gotten married when she was five“!!!

Freeda! This is great! Thank you. I'm new to this. I have just both full legs. The question I have is: have the tiny tubes that connect to the ports that are on the leg garments themselves, have they ever popped off during treatment? The large tubes that connect the garment and machine aren't the problem. It's the tiny tubes that connect inside the garment. I have 2 or 3 that keep popping off and I've been trying to use little pieces of duct tape to get them to stay connected. Any other thoughts?

Thank you for the demo. I have ordered a new rolator and am anxiously waiting for its arrival. It looks like yours. I'm sorry to hear about your heart. I had supra ventricle tachycardia for many years and was in the ER so many times having it reverted. Then I went to a Cardiologist in Lebanon TN who told me why my heart kept doing that. He said it was because I had too many nerves telling my heart when to beat and when to stop the beat. As long as they were working together I was fine but sometimes they would get out of sync and that's when my heart would hit 230 beats per minute. He is a plumber cardiologist who deals with the blood vessels so referred me to an electrician cardiologist who deals with the nerves. This Doctor at St Thomas in Nashville TN did an RF Ablation and I don't have tachycardia anymore.

And as some other woman was trying to push that other upright and mainly putting down the rollator she had such a small one it was so low to the floor I guess to make her upright look better for standing straight but I'm 5'5 I stand straight with my rollator I like the fact that you have those pedals but I'm used to mine now so thanks for the video maybe I'll think about that other one later cuz I do have a large wheelchair in the closet that I don't use so this would be a lot more handy

I have a rollator with the seat in the compartment under the seat and I love it I'm 89 years old and I was lucky to have my son-in-law put it together he put it together in about a half an hour without any problem no tools needed it folds up good into the trunk of a car lifted by my daughter or Uber very easily and what I like as it turns on a dime in my narrow hallway I just have a studio apartment and I take my breakfast meals to my chair and then the dirty dishes back to the kitchen on the seat

Omg, thank you for posting this!! I am experiencing random heart flutters. It started around 2012 or 2013. They were soooo random and rare. I experienced one running, another sitting down, another laying down. It could be twice a month, once every 6 months. There never seemed to be a pattern of occurrence or triggers. They increased in frequency in the last few years but I kept brushing it off. My best friend and I are the same age with our birthdays just a few days apart. We turn 30 this year and wanted to sky dive and the first thing that came to mind was the flutters.. So I brought it up to my GP and she did and EKG, and something showed up! Arrhythmia? I was sent to a cardiologist and they did an EKG, also found something abnormal there. They put this monitor on me there in office and they didn't "abrade" as much as the instructions show and put it on halfway down my boob (DDD cup) lol.. So it naturally started to fall off. Well I called the manufacture and they sent another one by mail. Gonna follow your tutorial on how to apply because I think I might have better results. Update: I followed along with you and almost did the 160 strokes of sand paper 😂 You're such a gem and kept me laughing through what I thought would be a stressful time. Thank you so much. Not just for the walk through but for being you 🖤🖤🖤 I know we'd be friends if we lived near each other lol

Thank you Freda for making this video. I don’t feel so alone with this. I have found the same thing, I need to run the fan. It is a work out just to get it all on. I just received mine and a rep came to help me set it up last week. Both the pants and the legs on mine have zippers. I have to use a grabber to pull the zippers up! I use the same words you use when setting it up and taking it off after. I used it 5 days now and it doesn’t get easier. I sure hope it works. Now that you have been using it for a year have you seen improvement?

I just discovered this video (2022) and I'm hysterical laughing- not at you...with you! I have the same pump and have uttered the same words and wondered the same things...how the hell is someone supposed to get in this god awful stuff without help?!! It does work wonders once in it though. I am most compliant with the vest and head garments because they zipper. I keep hoping they will make it easier to get in the garments.
