The big Rover didnt last 😢long

Special GTs were fabulous until they started letting Mallocks et al in. I'm a bit biased due to the prevalence of Maguire Stilettos and others running Imp engines though!

What a blast from the past, was very good friends with Robin Harvey that raced in this series and it was always fantastic racing. This is what started my love of imps.

Oddly enough I shared the track with a replica of Gerry Marshall's Baby Bertha at a Castle Combe Track Day on April 1st this year.

This looks like a brilliant bit of racing, production-based racing as it should be. Sure, a lot of these racers look well-modified--but still recognizable. At least it doesn't look like a bunch of "ringers," tube-framed silhouette racers...

@slash1229 - no the start was exactly as it is now. They just neutered the circuit because speeds at Old Paddock (and Camp) were getting silly. Old Paddock used to be flat in top, inside wheel on the grass!!

Wow Castle Combe the old circuit without the chicanes (bobbys and the esses). Did they start the race where bobbys is now???

Brilliant i was at this meeting helping Chris Snowdon (black Davrian),i dont if it was this particular day but he got the class lap record by sticking to the bumper of Erling Jensens outragous rover (danish dynamite as i recall it had written across the back),To this day i still cant believe how close Chris was to the rovers bumper.

Yea you can say that again, there's loads of different roads in there, same with Speech House, will have a look at these locations for deffinet next year thanks for the help :-D

Nice video mate, which order were the clips in e.g on the Skoda Clip was it Serridge then Speech House or vice versa? Just wondering if you could tell me the stage and if you know what Junction number they were as they're same crackin spots!
