Saying AI shouldn’t be able to use your art as a tool is like saying that people can’t use what you say to make memes.

Some people put small stock photos of random animals near their art like dogs, cats, birds, fish, etc to confuse AI. I think it's most helpful when posting sketches/WIPs.

Why to you think Bluesky will be any different? It's the same concept, made by the same people, with the same corporate structure. The thing you're really trying to escape is corporate corruption. I don't use any Twitter clones, including Mastodon, but Mastodon really seems like the solution you're looking for. Because of the way it's built, it would be impossible for some rich chuds to take it over like what happened with Twitter.

I think there is a filter that makes images unusable for AIs, I don't remember the name but it might also a good way to stop your from being stolen to train a AI

I don't mind having a few revealing character designs, but when almost every female character has to wear booty shorts, loincloth or macroskirts it gets exhausting. Like, if I didn't play the game and you showed me any of the HSR designs in isolation, I'd say they're all super pretty. But then you line them all up, especially the female characters, and it's just irritating to look at how same-y they all are. I remember when they added Apocalyptic Shadow and I met Elegy, I was so sad because I wished we'd get her as a playable character instead. She's significantly taller than most playable characters, is some form of Intellitron and has a simple yet effective (and demure) design that communicates she's akin to a widow who's grieving. Plus her story and concept is so interesting. It's kinda frustrating that HSR is supposed to be a sci-fi game, but the designs don't really reflect that because most are just humans with the same bodytype and style of outfit. I know Ruan Mei is supposed to look like a refined lady, but if I didn't know she was supposed to be a scientist I'd genuinely assume she was some sort of escort by profession because, aside from the double helix motif, nothing about her design communicates "researcher". I'd sooner think Pela was supposed to be one. Honestly whenever I think about the hsr designs I get a burst of motivation to whip out my drawing program and attempt to redesign them to something I'd prefer to see, so I guess that's kind of the silver lining here. 😅

i think it all boils down to how high contrast her outfit is and the asymmetry. the colors are too saturated with her hair even the same colour as her clothes

There's a way to do asymmetry correctly. Just take a look at Fischl. Heck, simply having her disconnected sleeve be on the opposite side of her pant would have been much better.

watch her ass , it's like two shiny latex balloons , and that feather at the end of her ass ; not my liking and worst of all her skill being her riding a giant gun , and watch it We'll see MODS making her ride something else i see it coming , NEXT IS why just why the gun , as an artist myself SHE WOULDVE HAD ANOTHER COLOR PALETTE , another more cowgirl lie design with great items like cowboys do have, knee high boots and sexy ones , with rhinestones and lace up and the famous cowboy wheels , next her top would be a bra but we put a large scarf on her to hide her tiddies , the bra can be as well well designs and next shorts or cowboy pantalons but we get rid of the boots so something like that , her denim jacket would have some GEMSTONES and rhinestones fringes shiny ones and they would wiggle when she moves with the great cowboy design, her weapon would be double revolvers , she would have a better hat this one makes her look like robin hood , NEXT HER SKILL : i would do A CLINT EASTWOOD POSE really , clorinde would run hiding bc chasca would have great cowboy inspired posed , and for skill hear me out we stay in the cowboy style , she would do a rodeo but instead of riding a bull or a horse she would ride a saurian , and dash through enemies , imagine how could that would be , can see how in tea pot ppl would play TORERO , and for her guns they would need to add that satisfying revolvers sound also adding lasso where she can catch or grab on things , all with class and sexiness , her poses would be fire , she would seem believable at least not goofy just genshin's own cowgirl , they did well with kirara but she lacked the cowgirl poses and skills it was mostly a costume , anyway im glad that chasca isnt of my liking so i can skip her with no regrets , mavuika will be guaranteed

I hate so much that most of the designs in genshin are just showing as much skin as possible. I don't care about sexualization. I just find it boring. Arlequino is one of my favorite designs precisely because it doesn't show any skin, she just looks fucking cool. It just feels like their designs rely on beautiful female body carrying clothes, not vice versa, which is kinda dumb when all of them have exactly the same model...

2D art and animation in teasers are really good and attractive. But in game 3D model is just uncanny and funny. It's like a 3D barbie doll in 2D flat anime world. I couldn't even get into sad mood in 5.1 that scene becuz of her 3D model being so uncanny and jarring.

Kuro games are fan of Nier Automata, so even in PGR the designs are muted mostly. And the setting of WuWa is "Post-Apocalypse" which people kept forgetting because this is supposed to be Genshin, so there must be rainbows after a Nuclear Fallout People kept forgetting that in CBT, WuWa is way more darker. The world is way more dark than in current build. And the story is in the same wavelength, thus the designs actually matches it. But due to tons of complaints that "My post apocalypse world should not be dark and should be rainbows" Kuro tried to change it, along with the complaints in the story about "Girls I met first time should not be wary of me and should trust me since I'm MC" (In CBT the first time we met Chixia and Yangyang is actually more realistic and dark since they blamed us on why Baizhu was hurt and since we're outsiders which actually matches how dark the game is, but not anymore) The designs are actually supposed to be Practicality over Aesthetic, not the other way round. That's why Rovers have more lightweight attire (The reason why Female Rover has no armor, is probably due to the design in image, that males tend to fight on brute force thus requiring more cover, while girls tends to fight through speed.) Also that question on MC design is like asking why Aether and Lumine have such long excess clothe near their neck that floats around when they're supoosed to be swordsman (In CQC, you can just actually grab that and they're dead which makes their design bad and not practical, pure aesthetic). But I do agree that Genshin designs do Stand out, but practicality wise it's not okay and the way they stand out way too much makes the NPCs looks like potatoes. WuWa designs are muted since Kuro tries to make them lore accurate, practical in sense and matches the needs for such environment and the Region Trends (Well not anymore thanks to the complaints). You can check that by literally observing the NPC Designs and the Rover's design. Wuthering Waves doesn't have bad design, because they have lore and realism in mind. (Which was thrown out due to complaints that it's not colorful enough). They're not trying to compete with Genshin designs that looks like you took an LSD on how many colors they have, Kuro Games isn't trying to give us another Genshin, they want to make a game that is realistic and believable enough for a post apocalypse. And Kuro Games knows and heard these complaints, that's why the designs past 1.1 is not muted anymore. Sorry for this long explanation and puns

We need to understand the ones making these decisions probability don't like or understand anime tropes. Some chibies do look like children if you don't get anime. In western cartoons a cibi WOULD just be a child. And the hip thing is only included cuz vtubers HAVE used hip exposure to show way too much of the crotch. If we want to be taken seriously we need to actually acknowledge what the rules are and why.

I've always been confused about the subjectivity of childishness. Idk if it's just me, but sometimes I can feel like almost all anime styles appear childish. I'm guessing they are not though, I don't know where the line is drawn. Is Shondo for example a 'loli'? But she is on twitch so I guess not? It's confusing.

I just don't... feel anything towards her design. And that's the case with every Natlan character for me. Some of them I think is pretty, like Mavuika (though her clothes kinda throw me off tbh), but for some reason they just don't hit the same way Fontainian characters did for me. So far the only Natlan design that captivates me is Capitano, and he was designed years ago.

One way you can explain the single "sleeve" is that she is a bow user Archers from what ive seen wear a guard on the hand they hold the bow to prevent the string giving them burns if it happens to hit the arm What Chaska has could very well have a similar function And seen some argue that they dont like the hat sitting like that on the head My personal theory is that the tip or beak in front helps her somehow better judge and aim her shot XD Regardless i love her and definitely will get her

i really don’t think the concept of her outfit is that deep. don’t like it? fine. like it? fine too. i don’t think it’s great but i like her. hoyoverse has definitely had better designs. i wish they would be less persistent on showing her skin.
