Steve's Vintage Model Builds
Canada
Welcome! What began as a model railroad in 2022 inspired a return after 45 years to building plastic model kits. I started this channel so others could share my journey in modeling, and have since expanded to cooking and current events commentaries. The railroad is 'completed,' so going forward I'll mostly be publishing builds of other kinds, along with kit unboxings, reviews and ratings, along with tips and advice I hope viewers will find helpful. My model kit and cooking videos are absolutely 'kid-safe' spaces, and my Current Events commentaries are always 18+. I hope it will be informative and fun for modelers of all skill levels. I've included a few links from some real pros that are really fun and helpful, as well as some other modeling resources. Comments are now open on most of my videos, and I apologize for the audio quality of some older ones. For more info on other changes to the channel, watch this video: th-cam.com/video/EWu32nGDy5k/w-d-xo.html Thanks for stopping by!
Happy New Year!
A New Year's message, and some changes coming to the channel for 2025. Thanks to all for the support and encouragement I've received!

Happy New Year, Steve. I've followed the story on the Martin Mars planes as well. The R3350 engine is my favourite radial. Developed specifically for the B-29 it was refined/improved on and used on the Douglas Skyraiders. We would have the two aircraft perform at the Hamilton Father's Day airshow often in the late 1980s. It was from the encouragement of the online U.K. modellers in late 2022 that I added and improved on reveal videos of my builds from returning to the hobby in 2018. For the next four or five planned, monthly posts they will be slideshow videos. Like the hobby, the channel is an enjoyable activity. To learn/develop video editing on a budget and to have a record of my builds being the main motivator, likes and subbs are very much appreciated of course. It helps confirm the work. Peter Oxley and ZinZan are among my favourites along with Steve of the Model Shed and Max_Afterburner in the U.S.
Thank you Steve for your kind words 🤗, a very Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year to you and your family, and thank you again for our prezzies we love them 😊, all the best my darlin 🤗❤️

Very interesting stuff, Steve! I suspect we would like Japan. We have had those light-shut-off room keycards for a decade or two here, especially in the big city hotels.
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab Hi Peter! Thanks for watching. I'm not surprised you have those there. We've only travelled to the Phils and US before 'the event' in 2015, where we stay with family. Then there was no travel again because of the bioweapon attack. And, as you've gleaned from our talks, here in the Colonies we're rather backward when it comes to that kind of thing... More to come, and I'll send you a PM later. Hope you're doing well. Love to the girls! 😃
Dear Steve, Well presented thoughts- have a good holidays!! Kind regards, Z
Um, errr, uhhhh, ahhhh... 🤣 Thanks, Zin. You're too kind. Have a great weekend!
Thank you for sharing this news. I follow the channel for model kits, but, this news had not heard before. I pray for not only a secure Israel, also Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt. All humans deserve to live in full freedom without fear of emotional, physical, or spiritual harm, either due to attack or defense. So if part of the Torah or Bible is false, then how is not the whole false? Shalom, Adriel
Hi Adriel! Thanks for watching! 🙂I've done a few of these, mostly on the Lebanon arena. Check out my Playlist 'Politics and Conflicts.' Glad to know you found it informative 👍. I never said those ancient writings are 'false' and don't believe that -- one only has to look at the Talmud to see the efforts to interpret what is written -- unaltered for 2500 years (or so) -- in the Torah. It's also important to distinguish between the Torah and other, much later Christian writings -- but this isn't the forum for that discussion 😁. Thanks again!
Steve, feel bad leaving out the Kurds. Do you think there is any possibility of them having independent country? Shalom, Adriel
@@adrielrowley I hope so, but doubt it. The Turks are already attacking them... 😢 Erdogan want to re-constitute the Ottoman Empire, so I expect it won't be long before we're right back to 1914... 😐
Steve, appreciate you sharing, didn't realize the Middle East is soon going to be in a right state. Yes, truly sad the Kurds are yet experiencing genocide. Shalom, Adriel

Hello, friends! I hope you're doing well and that you continue to post such informative videos here for us to listen to.
Thank you. There's so much going on, I'm glad it's helpful understanding it all. More to come as events unfold.
Thanks for the info. Yes, it certainly was an inefficient System. I do note, however, that Donetsk, Luhansk, and parts of Zaporozhia and Kherson are now illegally occupied by Russia, but will be returned to Ukraine in due course. Thanks for watching.

Yes, well, ICM is going strong today. As for the lessons of WWII, it's unfortunate Russia didn't learn those lessons -- or the lessons of Democracy...
