Hey I’ve really been wanting a Nissan 370z and have been looking a lot into them and was wondering if it’s a good purchase. If it’s reliable for daily drive and if you think it’s affordable to use daily. I want to get a 2017 370Z as well eventually mod it like yours, and was wondering if it would be a good purchase as I’m on the Fence if I should jump in and make that purchase or go for something more reliable, as some people say there’s never have problems after years, while others say it has a lot of issues and it will be a lot to fix constantly. Id love to know what you think as you own one and seem to enjoy tuning/modding them.

I notice the OEM lights are dimmable, you can notice it specially when you open/close the door. Are those LED dimmable compatible?

I saw this mod on another channel and it is without a doubt the best looking screen mod available for the Nissan 370Z. It's truly the only screen mod that could pass as "factory" installed. They really took care in designing the surround to seamlessly blend in with the 370Z interior as if it was installed there stock. Definitely the best mod option for a screen upgrade I have ever seen for a 370Z and I have been looking for something like this for about 3 years now. I was just never satisfied with any of the other options out there for sale or custom modded. This unit is going to be the one that I install in my 370Z if I do upgrade the screen, which I probably will since I only have the little cubby in my Touring Coupe which is fine, I actually use my cubby for my sunglasses storage so I never really missed having the junky and super outdated NAV unit that Nissan installed as stock that was so outdated it isn't even funny, and it was way too high of a cost for it as an option too. Much better off to get this screen mod and install so at least you have a somewhat modern screen that is functional and actually looks 370Z stock although it's a mod.

That's a cool looking mod. I have a 2014 Touring Coupe and I want to change the 4th brake light, but like you, I didn't want the standard one you see everyone with that has that ridiculous looking white section in the middle for either a rear fog or reverse light option. It just looks really cheap and doesn't add anything to the looks of the Z, it takes away from it. I really like the design you chose for your own mod. I looks fantastic in that diamond shape and I like how it disappears behind the tinted lens when it's not turned on. That's something like I want to get for my own Z. Something totally subtle when it's not on, but blindingly bright and fast blinking when it does come on. Anyone have any suggestions for a great 4th brake light option that's subtle when off, but bright and blinks when turned on? Nissan has the factory option to do the third brake light, but they don't offer anything for the bottom 4th brake light housing. It's really odd that Nissan just put a blank lens down there on the stock 370Z's. Why wouldn't they make that another LED lamp adding a lot more notification to the person behind you that you are braking. I guess it was a cheap out option on Nissan's part which doesn't surprise me the state of financial affairs that Nissan is in, barely hanging on as a car company as it is. Unfortunately, they might be the next car company to go bankrupt and close up their doors based on the fiasco they have went through over the past 10 or so years.

⁠Hey thanks for the reply to my last comment! Wanted to come back to let you know i finished the installation however i’ve had some issues. I followed your video, as well as Nifty City’s video on the installation for this screen. For some odd reason i have three problems : 1. I drive manual, when putting it in reverse- my backup camera does not pop up on the screen, nothing happens at all. However- the camera is working, because the app on the unit that says “camera” shows my “rear camera” view. But going into reverse does nothing. 2. My AC is wonky. The controls “work” but they don’t control anything. At first, no air was being blown out from anywhere. and then sometimes when i’d start the car- my defrosting vents would be blowing cold air, and then again, after powering off and on the car, none of the vents would be blowing any air. towards the end of the day today, i noticed that there was finally air blowing out of the front vents of the car, but i had no control of that- it was absolutely random . Changing the fan speed, or temperature, tapping on any of the buttons to switch the air from the front, to let’s say my feet, or the defroster doesn’t do anything. The Lights on the volume control and AC buttons also aren’t on. 3. It doesn’t sound like my stock bose sub is working.. Now- the audio quality seems to have taken a dramatic dip after the installation and messing with the equalizer. It sounds like it’s ONLY trying to play music through my side speakers and tweeters. There really wasn’t any missing connections that i’ve missed- every everything clicked together smoothly. I also connected that red box as per the instructions since i have that bose sound system. Please note, that i followed the manual to the best of my abilities and watched about three videos about this screens installation, and disconnected and reconnected the wiring harness’s about 3 or 4 times, to no avail. I’m STUMPED. I’m gonna be contacting Nifty City tonight with an email to their tech support- and i’m also gonna hit up a guy i know that’s a mechanic that could maybe help tomorrow. I would really appreciate any sort of insight you may have on this- that could help with why this isn’t working.

Very simple. Took me two minutes to do both bulbs. Hardest part was getting the fixture out. Used a large flat head screwdriver and push in towards the plate.

Copyright laws are somewhat vague and are up for interpretation. I think Ford stole the aero design from Porsche and made a GT3 RS kit for THEIR Mustang, and made the GTD with that. Then, they got mad at TJ for ripping off their rip off move. There is too much money on the table and Ford wants it. Meanwhile, Ford sells us the S550.650 (which is the S550 with 2 throttlebodies and intakes and some screens) and the darkhorse is just a trim level. Oh, and BTW my 60k S650 constantly has screen freezing issues and has gone black a couple of times. I pray I can use my heat everytime I start the car.

Literally everything and anything in existence that is man made, physical or abstract is built upon ideas that others have had and the so called "original" ideas came into existence the exact same way. You make cool shit by pulling from other cool shit that inspires you and you put ur own spin or take on it. Thats what TJ did. At the end of the day this is just the big guy putting the squeeze on the smaller guy so they can earn a few more million in revenue and hold onto their big brand entitlement and ego. The keep moving forward remark at the end was backhanded asf btw. Not even remotely slick.

I think that people should support TJ the design is similar but not exactly a copy. If the hood was a different style I think people would see it it's not the same. The Gtd looks more like a mustang Ford knew that would kill the sales of this super priced mustang. But people would by the kit and it would boost mustang sales. I know alot people don't like this design but love the Gtd body.
