What a good Summertime ballad from this great female vocalist with the unusual deep female voice. She had charisma, talent and beauty. The whole package!
Wow! She talks about watching the Passenger trains coming and goin from the stations. Nostalgic and historic from a better time in the U.S.A.
🎼💥🎼 No ... Comment 🎼💥🎼
Where’s the WINNING record?! I wanna hear THAT ONE!! 😤
Destiny's Darlings. They did it. RIP "Gunner" Bob Prince and Jim "Possum" Woods (you, too, Rosie), your voices were quite a part of the whole thing. The Magic fades more slowly now.
“They broke all the records and we won the game.” ~ Gino Cimoli
Great tune but horribly over-modulated transfer from the vinyl.
I know 100 Years are old but he would be better for 2024-2028 than Trump
My sister joined the Club about this time. Ten free lp's plus shipping was the initial offer. "Take Five" was one of the 10 lps.
what a great offer that was!
On the B side, the motor is turning the wrong way. Your mech didn't reverse turntable direction.
I traded my Tie Me Kangaroo 45 for this rare recording in 1964.
I saw them appear in person in early 60's at a high-school dance in brooklyn,n.y. they were great.
Beautiful girl; nice song My favorite: We'll sing in the sunshine...I am gail also- was 15 yr in 1965...

Can you believe she was born in 1917 ? She became a sex symbol in her50s !!
Who told you that ? Forties. She was in her early 20s when she had her hit.
She was born in New Zealand on 17 July 1942.
This song and "We'll Sing In The Sunshine," were great songs by Gale Garnett. It's too bad she didn't have more hits!❤
"Handyman" Joe Negri had a hand in writing the song.
Oh wow! THROWBACK!!!
Thanks for posting this! We just installed a Kohler sink and toilet in our bathroom. Now every time I go to pee or wash my hands, I see the Kohler name and think of the Koehler Beer 🍺 jingle! I just wanted to see if I could hear it again. I suppose I must have heard those commercials many times, growing up in Pittsburgh, but I didn't realize the brewery was in Erie. I suspect they advertised on Pirates games? Put Koehler on the list of great Pennsylvania breweries crushed by those jagoffs in St Louis and Milwaukee. Straubs, Rolling Rock, Duquesne, Yuengling, etc... Some of them are still sold under those names, but it's not the real stuff. 😢 (The first vacation I remember taking with my family was to Presque Isle. Otherwise, Erie was not a place we went to much.).
Thanks for your comments. I’m not sure who Koehler sponsored, but I’m certain it wasn’t the Pirates. That would have been Iron City.
Is this machine capable of playing a 12 inch 33?
No. Only 7” mini LP’s.
She was a very pleasant artist.
Ulysses S. Grant 2024
This song makes me feel like singing in the sunshine.
Not walking on sunshine ?
I was just thinking about this song the other day after not hearing it for over 50 years. This and her smash hit "We'll Sing In The Sunshine" brought back so many great memories.
Carter 2024
Beautiful voice, beautiful face!
Came here after seeing the news that President Carter is refusing any more medical treatment
I sent to high school, Niles High School, Niles, Michigan 1965 with Tommy James and the Shondells-His name then was Tommy Jackson.

Schultz 'I see nussing'....👀
Lovin' Gayle sassy sexy summer fling song.. the sad harmonica refrain remains. Bf dumped your ass. Time to blow this popsicle stick. Put the douchebag in the rearview mirror. Ghost of a bad memory.
I FEEL THE MAGIC...Cutch just hit his 2000th hit (6/11/2023)...Great memories playing cornet, in the early-1970s PITT BAND (as Benny Benack ripped through beautiful dixieland solos, in the Pitt Stadium stands).
Thanks for sharing that memory. As a kid, we had season tickets for Pitt games as my mom worked for an affiliate of the dental school. Also remember Benny Benack playing at Forbes Field and was in attendance at Game 2 of the 1960 WS.
@@45RPMemories The only baseball game I ever went to as a kid was game 7...I remember Mantle playing catch in the outfield, before the game (just like it was yesterday).
Those beautiful piercing eyes.
Hopes Jimmy lives to 100!
It'll be hard. But one can hope..
