An interesting and very informing survey about what the laity "believe" are the issues in regards to what is causing the greatest detriment in regards to the real presence in the Eucharist. I have 3 points: 1. what those who were polled "believe" are the real issues may not necessarily be the real issues that are causing this breakdown in belief. In fact, those who were polled in this survey may simply be wrong about the issues. They may be right too though, I'm just throwing it out there. Ex. perhaps the biases present in the country that the survey was taken could have steered the results in an incorrect direction. More dramatically, as was discussed in the interview, demons can influence everyone's thoughts (not just those of priests/bishops) and perhaps even influence the construction, the implementation, and/or the results of surveys. 2. In regards to receiving the Eucharist by the hand, if you look at the survey results sheet (on the video), the "weighted average" of this particular issue is only "4.07". This means, that on average, this is not the #1 issue. It is more like #10. 3. The majority of these "issues" seem to want to place the responsibility on the priesthood or clergy. Where is the responsibility of the laity? Lack of following church teaching on sexuality, or rampant materialism, or lack of preparation before attending the mass, etc? Like the idea of receiving the Eucharist on the tongue to prevent desecrations of it.

I attend Novus Ordo, our Altar rail is being reinstalled now! we do have Eucaristic ministers but the Priets line is always longer! I hope they eliminate them after the rail is completed, but I would never receive except from a Priest. Our Priest is SO reverent and gives us so much time after communion before ending the Mass. We have a school and the young ones are always given on the tounge and kneeling for First Holy Communion, most stick with that. Our Altar servers also receive on the tounge... it's all about the Pastor talking about how the Eucharist is Jesus and showing respect...
