Any live-action of Avatar The Last Airbender is not recommended btw. Not unless you have actually watched the original show and are just watching the live-action for the memes😅 The success of One Piece live-action is super rare because rarely are the live-action adaptations of anime/manga done with any respect to the original work, or it's just done poorly overall. I personally have only seen 2 anime live-action adaptations that were done well where the fans actually enjoyed and respected them. Gintama and One Piece. There might have been more, but I have yet to see or hear of them.
Just came from TikTok! Wow new subscribers right here!!❤ great job

12:55 Did the giraffe guy fight with a sword in his mouth? No, don’t be ridiculous. The swordsman he faces on the other hand…
this show never stops giving
it's 110 Volumes at this point.
Love @GrandLineReview 1:03:09 !!
Dude, people have been cosplaying mando's since Ep.5 came out.
Some explainations were sometimes painful to listen to and not copletely correct, but the conversation was interesting nonetheless.
Nah. The Knights of the Old Republic computer game made Mandalorians walk so Clone Wars could have them run.
Lil sugar in that guys tank
What is One Piece?? No one know yet. Maybe in 5 years.
Jamie Lee Curtis got removed from the spot of Kureha due to being a Zionist. Which, if you know One Piece, makes all the sense.
That wasn’t the case it was because of scheduling issues
I would definitely recommend watching one pace though it’s mostly sub. But it’s pacing is much better and is a basic copy of the manga and cuts out all that extra stuff.
Very funny podcast, and very cool representative of our fandom B)
@@LeGhostX thanks so much!
Another fun fact is that you canonically become/stay attractive if you follow your dream
I just wanna say, I loved the podcast, but the volume is SUPER quiet, I had to put it at way higher volume than normal for it to sound normal.

Love this show
I enjoyed this one piece podcast. Subscribed
Really enjoyed how this was handled. Thanks for your amazing work
Fun fact about Killer : I read this morning he actually love cooking... Killer's hobbies are playing drums and cooking 49:40
It is the same studio as Dragonball so it makes sense that there is so much fluff in it lol. From what I can find the manga is at 109 volumes. Luffy also doesn't want to be a hero because heros save and help other because they have to, Luffy help and save others because he want to and if he like the people and want to fight for them self.
Shonen r usually very emotional when they do it
How do we explain Vegapunk😅
A fandom name? U wanna know what the fandom is called? A cult, is what it is. A cult
What is one piece?..the greatest fucking work of fiction ever created..the end
watch the live action... it's not a bad start for experiencing one piece world... it's pretty good in summarizing arc before they enter the grandline... the live action is not bad at all..
one piece is your english teacher's favorite manga. one piece is every genre on literature ever made. a series about adventure, romance, fun, joy, loss, and inequality. the world building, power systems, story arcs, character writing, and drama, are all 10/10. saturday morning cartoons with a plot.
been seeing clips of this on tiktok, time to lock in and watch
49:51 Killer does have a devil’s fruit and can’t swim. It’s just an artificial smile fruit which didn’t have any power.
The funny thing is, especially now, everone will look at the amount of episodes and go thats too much One Piece. But if you catch up youre like theres not enough one piece
One pace is definitely the only way to watch the anime if you’re not already caught up
8:53 The term “Big 3” was a term coined for specifically the three largest long running anime/manga at the time; other manga could have gotten the title, but it didn’t quite fit all the criteria but also the fact that they defined an era. That is why I don’t think there is no modern day big three yet, and there probably won’t be for a while because modern shonen manga don’t fit that and definitely not 3 different manga.
I am so here for the Foxy love! One Piece gave us a Wacky Races arc and it's some of the funniest materials the series has ever come up with!
1:00:35 preeeaaach LRLL is great in the manga
She did a pretty good job explaining it
Trafalgar Law, a character she mentioned, is actually named Trafalgar Water Law, this is a reference to the battle of Trafalgar and the battle of Waterloo, two pivotal battles Napoleon lost, this is a reference to certain actions the character takes in the story and who he defeats later on.
Always love how people get so hooked up on you a thousand episodes a thousand episodes oh my gosh it's a thousand episodes.
This is common misunderstanding, the big 3 are an era when one piece naruto and bleach dominated sales and discussion. the era ended, but a lot of people still try and recreate the dynamic of the era.
Katie living the dream of having dedicated time to initiate people to One Piece
To clarify something about The One Piece, the original episodes came out on a 4:3 aspect ratio, for old tube tvs, nowadays TVs are 16:9 for their aspect ratio, basically the first 300ish episodes are so old they have trouble running on modern television and look awkward so the reason for the update is partially so that new viewers can actually watch the beginning of the series
The anime was released when I was born 😂😂
Many people , like myself, fell in love with OP throught the live action and ended up watching the anime or reading the manga. As a anime watcher (bc I prefer the multiple elements of music, direction, and voice acting besides the visuals coming together in storytelling as opposed to just manga panels) I find that what the guest said about the manga pacing applies to the anime as well aka biging it makes the pacing look not so bad. If you skip intro-outro and "previously on" sections, you're left with about 15 minutes of episode. If a repeated scene as filler really bothers you, you can skip that also, although I haven't usually had that much trouble with that.
i personally think that the One Thing thats sets one piece apart not only from other shonen manga, but from all other adventure stories/stories in general, is its creativity (and as such, also the world building). the fact that Oda manages to keep all of the worldbuilding and all the characters straight in his head is WILD. because, tho he has editors and assistants who helps draw the manga (mostly the backgrounds, oda is still the only one drawing anything that moves he said), HE is still the only one actively actually writing this story. HE has to have it all in his head (and in his binders and binders and binders of notes), and that is literally inconceivable to me. HOW.
what i personally love so much about luffy is how simple he is. he doesnt lie, ever, (in fact he is HORRIBLE at lying), you know his motivations in chapter 1 and you know them in chapter 1127. im pretty sure that hes the only character (along with a few other straw hat characters bc theyre just so well written) that im 99,99% confident that i could predict what he'd do in any circumstance, just because he's such a consistently-written character. i feel like i UNDERSTAND him, like, as a person. also, it was such a good decision by Oda to never have him have any thought bubbles in the manga. like he doesnt do the "talks to himself in his head" thing, specifically because if he is thinking of something to say thats important, he WILL just say it. which makes the moments where he stays silent and serious THAT much more impactful. because then you know "oh oh somethings up". its SO GOOD.
Ok this is my new fav podcast. Literally hearing people passionately talk about things they love is my favorite thing
