    Great tutorial!! I watched all the others and couldn't get a good print out of any of them, and with your to the point explanation i managed to get it right the first time.

    Pretty good. I made the mistake at first of setting the radius of the top to 52 instead of the diameter..

    Recently on ebay there's been a plateau R13 A Clarinet by Buffet for sale, description says it was made by special order and sounds good as well. Never knew Buffet ever offered that option.

      I didn't either. Just this last week I was talking to one of the Phoenix Symphony woodwind players who said they knew the person who really designed the Uebel plateau, and that they could retrofit. I find this interesting, as it is just not about adding tone hole coverings, but changing all the keywork adding adjustment screws...a lot of work for a one off!!

      @nonsensethatmakessense9650 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@drworry9320 Yeah certainly, though I've seen online several instances where Buffet had put in that extra work and made some high quality one off instruments or types that fell out of fashion decades before, like the Bass Clarinet in C and the soprano sax in C. And the R13 plateau on ebay is still going now for around $2700

    I moved my mechanism manually all the way to the right on the track, but it won't move to the left... only about 1/4". It just binds up in that direction. How do I resolve this?

    hello, I have a jukebox like this that I restored a few years ago watching your videos. My jukebox is seeburg sl 100 carnival but now the amplifier has broken and here in Spain it is impossible to get one, and I can't find someone who is capable of fixing it. The only solution I have in mind to be able to continue enjoying the jukebox is to attach a stereo amplifier to it, but I don't know how to make the disc unloading mechanism work. If you could help me I would be grateful

    Even though this tutorial is somewhat helpful, it's a whole different story when adjusting the clutches with the record rack on and the carriage is hooked up. It's impossible to manually move the mechanism when engaged. Very easy when working with a demo mech

    I have an issue with my Seeburg 100 G from 1953. Almost 2 years ago I was distracted while inspecting the service hatch in the rear checking why the wall box wasn't making selections. During the distraction and poor eyesight, I didn't realize the power was still on while replacing the metal cover on the stepper unit. There was a small spark as I was replacing that metal cover. It had touched the metal of the credit housing and possibly one of the solenoids of the stepper unit. Now the jukebox will NOT select any records. I've replaced the fuzes hoping that was the issue. I also replaced the 2025 tube to see if that was the issue. Still no selections can be made unless I trigger manually the pinbank under the magazine. When selecting a letter latch and a number, the select light goes on as it usually did but nothing happens. The record counter under the title menu board doesn't even add a digit to a new play. the person who helped me restore this jukebox back in the late 1990's lives very far from me and I have no contact with him except for emails in which I explained the issue, but he seems to have no interest in suggesting where I should begin to look. I think he's annoyed that I didn't offer him to keep my machine years ago instead of paying him to repair. He expected I would leave it as his home and let him enjoy using it, but was bitter when I brought him the pay he requested for his electrical upgrades and maintenance. He then bought his own jukebox and became scarce. Is there anything you can suggest so I can normally make selections again? Thank you.

    Now would be the perfect time to replace that clamp disc with the disc from a 1960 or later Seeburg. That way you'll be able to play both large and small hole 45s

    what a great concept. You can always get the Bb bis and the front F in use if you can get custom keys made for those too. I've always contemplated what would happen if I ever lose fingers, and putting my music away for good...

  • @drworry6517
    @drworry6517 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I need to add here that it is best to use a gear puller to get the turntable off. I thought I would show doing it, though, without one. Also, when I talk about the turntable grommet being skinny end out, that is because the seeburg literature says that. Some 100s, though, have a stepped hole for the rubber bearing, and if so, then the skinny end MUST go in first!

      I was able to find these grommets online. I was also able to remove and replace the old rubber bushings without loosening or removing the stripper plate. I have the HF100R and believe that the old bushings were original...they were stepped with the skinny end facing out.

      I think you just do it like a 100, except, 60 more. :) I think Seeburg must have declared the mechanism Good Enough and just made it wider, and used it forevermore. Not something I'd want to engineer twice either if I could help it!
